I don't have much knowledge or interest in the events or figures of the past

Don't know much biology
I have limited knowledge of the natural world and living organisms

Don't know much about a science book
I haven't read much on scientific subjects and don't understand much of the theories or concepts in those books

Don't know much about the French I took
I don't remember much about the French language class I took

Despite my lack of knowledge about many things, there are some facts and truths that I am sure of

One of those truths is that I love you

Don't know much about geography
I have a limited understanding of the world's geographic features, such as countries, continents, and oceans

Don't know much trigonometry
I don't know much about the branch of mathematics that deals with angles and triangles

Don't know much about algebra
I have little knowledge of algebra, the branch of mathematics that deals with manipulating equations and formulas with variables

I don't know what a slide rule is for
I'm not even sure what a slide rule is and what it is used for

But despite this lack of knowledge, there are some things that I do understand

But I do know "one and one is two"
For example, I know the simple fact that adding one to another results in a total of two

Now I don't claim to be an A student
I want to be clear that I do not pretend to be an excellent student or know-it-all

However, I am making the effort to learn more and grow intellectually

Perhaps if I become a straight-A student, it will make me more appealing or impressive to you, my beloved

Don't know much about the Middle Ages
I have a poor understanding of the era of history that spanned from the fall of Rome to the Renaissance

Looked at the pictures then I turned the pages
I may have glanced at some illustrations or images of this period in a history book, but didn't bother reading the text

I am completely unfamiliar with any book, event, or concept that may be described by this phrase

In general, I have little knowledge about many things in the world

Despite this lack of knowledge, I am still certain and confident about a few things
