Come On Let's Go
Paul Weller Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You have never been there
'Til you've heard the fat girl sing
And nothing else matters
Everything just pales within

Hanging 'round the corners
Shouting at the top of your voice
Sing you little fuckers
Sing like you've got no choice

I believe it's true
We are everywhere
And I feel the wind
And it feels so high

There really is no purpose
Definitely is no need
Stop running 'round the houses
Like a race horse on speed

I believe again
We are everything
And I feel the wind
And I've got so high

C'mon, baby, let's go
Oh c'mon, baby, let's go
And you said where to?
I said I don't know

I just need to run
And you need it too
And I catch your ride
And I feel the wind
And it feels so high

We're plotting out the acorns
Wondering to where they'll lead
We're plotting out the acorns
Wondering to where they'll seed

C'mon, baby, let's go
Yeah c'mon, baby, let's go

And you said, where to?
I said, I don't know

Overall Meaning

Paul Weller's song Come On/Let's Go is an upbeat, energetic tune that speaks about releasing oneself from the monotony of everyday life and embracing the joy of freedom. The first verse talks about the transformative power of music and how people can experience a whole new world by listening to someone sing. The fat girl mentioned here could refer to someone who society doesn't typically consider to be attractive or talented, yet her voice has the power to transport listeners to a place they've never been before. The second verse encourages people to express themselves freely, without fear or shame. Weller urges his listeners to sing out loud and with all their might, without worrying about what others might perceive. The lyrics also suggest a sense of community among people who share the same passion for music.

The third verse speaks about the futility of running around in circles, chasing after things that don't really matter. Weller suggests that there is no purpose to this kind of life and that true fulfillment comes from embracing one's own individuality and breaking free from society's expectations. The chorus invites the listener to join in on a journey towards the unknown - a chance to escape and find something new. The last verse speaks of the simple pleasures of life, such as admiring the beauty of nature and pondering where a small acorn may lead. It's an optimistic message that encourages people to live in the moment and appreciate the little things.

Overall, Come On/Let's Go is a song that celebrates the power of music to create a sense of community and freedom. It's a call to embrace one's own individuality and live life to the fullest.

I believe that Pro Evolution 2010 has the greatest track-lists ever!!!
That's it!

@SaduhRodrigo

Attachai Wannapake FIFA also used to have killer soundtracks, specially between FIFA 09 - 12. Since then it's being taken by shitty EDM names like Avicii. Back to PES 2010: yes, it's a GREAT soundtrack! Specially because, unlike FIFA, soundtracks had never been their strenght :)
