Wonder if I could open my heart again (if I could, if I could, if I could)
Ask me why I feel like at start again
Wonder if I could open my heart again (heart again, heart again)
Ask me why I feel like at start again
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling
Tell me why, tell me why
Tell me why, tell me why
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes and the snow is falling
The morning comes
I can't understand the reason
And snow the is falling (tell me why)
The morning comes
I can't understand the reason
And snow the is falling (tell me why)
The lyrics to Paul Van Dyk's song "Tell Me Why" express a sense of longing and questioning. The repeated phrases "tell me why" and "wonder if I could open my heart again" suggest a desire to understand why the singer is feeling distant or closed off. The line "ask me why I feel like at start again" further emphasizes this desire for a fresh beginning or a chance to start anew. The snow falling in the morning serves as a metaphor for the coldness and distance the singer feels, yet it also suggests the potential for renewal and cleansing.
The repetition of the phrase "the morning comes and the snow is falling" creates a sense of cyclical nature, as if the singer is stuck in a pattern of feeling closed off and uncertain. The repeated questioning of "tell me why" also creates a sense of frustration or desperation. The repetition of these phrases serves to emphasize the emotional weight of the lyrics and the singer's search for understanding.
Overall, "Tell Me Why" speaks to the universal human desire to connect and understand, even in times of feeling distant or closed off. The lyrics suggest that even in the depths of winter, there is potential for renewal and hope.
