The band originally formed in 2001 with the name "Broken Pearl," under which they released one self-titled EP and featured on various Korean indie compilations. Following the departures of vocalist Kim Min-Kyung and bassist Kim So-Dam, the band renamed itself "Pearl's Day" in 2006 and released their first full album, "1st Birthday." SInce then, they have featured on several soundtracks and released a digital EP in 2010.
