Apenas me desperté
Y al mirarte recordé
Que ya todo lo encontré
Tu mano en mi mano
De todo escapamos
Juntos ver el sol caer
Vamos pa' la playa
Pa' curarte el alma
Cierra la pantalla
Abre la Medalla
Todo el mar Caribe
Viendo tu cintura
Tú le coqueteas
Tú eres buscabulla
Y me gusta
Viendo tu cintura
Tú le coqueteas
Tú eres buscabulla
Vamos pa' la playa
Pa' curarte el alma
Cierra la pantalla
Abre la Medalla
Todo el mar Caribe
Viendo tu cintura
Tú le coqueteas
Tú eres buscabulla
Y me gusta
Lento y contento, cara al viento
Lento y contento, cara al viento
Calma, mi vida, con calma
Que nada hace falta si estamos juntitos andando
Calma, mi vida, con calma
Que nada hace falta si estamos juntitos bailando
Calma, mi vida, con calma
Que nada hace falta si estamos juntitos andando
Calma, mi vida, con calma
Que nada hace falta si estamos juntitos bailando
The lyrics of Pedro Capo's song "Calma" are about finding peace and tranquility in life through human connection and the beauty of nature. The song starts with the singer waking up with a sense of blissful contentment and is reminded of everything he's found in love. The idea of connecting with someone special, represented by holding hands, is powerful imagery throughout "Calma".
The song then goes on to talk about escaping everyday troubles and going to the beach. It's a place where nature meets human connection, providing a peaceful panorama for the couple. The mention of Medalla (a popular Puerto Rican beer) and dancing with the Caribbean sea in the background are strong indications that the song is about enjoying life's simple pleasures. The line "Tú eres buscabulla" translates to "you're a troublemaker," and "me gusta" means "I like it". This implies that the singer is drawn to the playfulness and carefree nature of his partner.
The chorus, "Calma, mi vida, con calma", translates to "calm down, my dear, with calmness". It reminds the listener to take it slow, and unwind and appreciate life with whatever company makes them happy.
