The melodies are simple and beautiful; the songs rock while remaining delicate and intricate. Taking inspiration from a number of influences, spanning various genres, the band creates a unique twist on a modern sound; made-to-fit on any radio station.
Now, the boys are taking the results to every corner of the country with an impressive, relentless touring schedule, the fruits of which have brought the band shows with the likes of InMe, The Subways, Ladyhawke, The Futureheads and Pendulum. And October 2009 saw the Midlands’ biggest radio station – BRMB – vote Pegasus Bridge their Battle of the Bands winners.
The brand parted in July 2011 due to disputes with lead singer- Edward Turner. Turner has since started his own solo project.

The song "Violence" by Pegasus Bridge is a raw expression of violence in our society. The narrative is a conversation between two people, where one is asking the other to go home while they stay to check on someone who has been beaten up. The person who was beaten up is still going strong and trying to smile despite what happened. The lyrics are an acknowledgment that it takes two people to fight, but looking at the shiner, the person who got beaten up may have been outnumbered. The chorus "Silence sweeps us off our feet, the violence, oh the violence" captures the vulnerability and helplessness we feel in the face of violence.
The bridge of the song talks about the aftermath of the violence. The person who got beaten up has lost some friends because they were "bugaloo" (meaning drunk or high) and got into a fight. The singer implores his friend El to wait until they can take the beaten-up person home and soothe his wounds.
