In 2005 they released their debut album, Hold Your Colour. Critically, the album was well-received in both the United Kingdom and Australia. In addition, it was one of the biggest selling Drum and Bass releases of all time. Pendulum have also collaborated with Freestylers, releasing the single "Fasten Your Seatbelt". MC $pyda and DJ Tenor Fly also feature as vocalists on "Tarantula".
Pendulum's sound is typically heavy beats accompanied by low, buzzing bass lines, overlaid with synthesized leads. As of their second album, In Silico, further experiments with sound are evident with many more elements from rock and typical electronic music being incorporated into their music. "In Silico" is Pendulum's first album for Warner Bros. Records via the bands Ear Storm imprint.
Their track "Vault" was played by almost every DJ and was declared by annual Knowledge Drum’n’bass Awards as The Best Track of the Year. They have also created many remixes, including a remix of Voodoo People by The Prodigy.
The band's third album "Immersion" was released on 24th May 2010, entering the UK album charts at #1 at the end of that week.
In 2011, members Swire and McGrillen started their side project, Knife Party, as a way to create different kinds of electronic music. It has since become their primary focus, however they have not ruled out the possibility of new Pendulum material in the future.

Coma
Pendulum Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've been trained to serve you
Hug me till you drug me honey
Kiss me till i'm in a coma
Hug me
Kiss me
Ever since i was born
I've been trained to serve you
Am I not all you dreamed I would be?
These haunting lyrics from Pendulum's song 'Coma' depict a disturbing tale that may be interpreted in different ways. At its core, the song is about an individual who has been conditioned to serve someone since birth. It highlights how a person can be engulfed by another's manipulative love and how they may be left in a state of emotional numbness. The lines "Hug me till you drug me honey/Kiss me till I'm in a coma" suggest that the person singing is addicted to the love and affection they receive from their oppressor. They are willing to be taken to the edge of their sanity just to feel the slightest semblance of affection.
The repetition of "Hug me, Kiss me, Drug me honey" reinforces the idea of addiction and emphasizes that the person is gradually losing touch with reality. The line "Am I not all you dreamed I would be?" suggests that the person is unsure if they are meeting the expectations of their oppressor, who could be either a parent, partner, or someone else for whom they were raised to serve. It's a poignant moment in the song where the person is seeking validation for their actions or wondering if their efforts are enough to appease the other.
Overall, Pendulum's 'Coma' is a haunting yet thought-provoking song that speaks to the complex human psyche, the dangers of toxic love and how it can create a sense of helplessness in the person at the receiving end of it.

This album is one of the greats of Australian music. So underappreciated. Look for "awesome party" by the same band.
@nvoid2597
Lol I literally thought this was pendulum (dnb group) first album. Christ I spent my teens telling cunts that they were an ambient band before breaking into dnb. Had no idea I was wrong. Buzzy
@SAguirre7490
@@advancingaustralia2913 wait, who are the band? I've been trying to find more on them for like a decade! I used to assume it was the D&B band Pendulum but it just makes no sense. Feel like the other band just disappeared.
