Penguin Prison Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
It's just a slap around
To make everything stoṗ and cure the fall
When you come back down
I'm not everything you want
I'm just a tease
Maybe a matter of touch
Maybe you think to much
Cause you're Hollywood, you never should
We never talk anymore
With your high heels on
You kill the sun, I'm not your friend anymore
I'm so sick and tired of everyone telling you what you want
I could never keep track who's gonna come
When you start waving your magic wand
And you seem to forget everything that you said
Before you had it written for you
There's too much going on that you need to belong to
It's the only thing you know how to do
Cause you're Hollywood, another world
You made it all on your own
With your high heels on
You kill the sun, I'm not your friend anymore
You went to Hollywood to make it
Hollywood, you never should
We never talk anymore
With your high heels on
You kill the sun, I'm not your friend anymore
Not your friend anymore,
Not your friend anymore,
Not your friend anymore,
Not your friend anymore,
Not your friend anymore,
Not your friend anymore,
The lyrics of Penguin Prison's song Hollywood appear to be about the singer's relationship with someone who has become consumed by the trappings of fame and success in Hollywood. The opening lines of the song suggest that the singer has tried to offer advice to the other person about what they need, but it has only resulted in a "slap around," perhaps indicating that the person is resistant to hearing anything that doesn't align with their own desires or ambition. The chorus of the song highlights the divide between the two individuals, with the singer feeling left behind by the other person's pursuit of fame and the other person seeming to forget about the singer in their quest for success.
The second verse of the song adds further depth to this dynamic, with the singer expressing frustration at the way others are constantly vying for the other person's attention and affection. The line "I could never keep track who's gonna come" suggests that the other person is being constantly courted and desirable to others, further emphasizing the divide between the singer and the other person. Additionally, the line "you seem to forget everything that you said before you had it written for you" appears to criticize the other person's lack of authenticity or originality, suggesting that they have become a puppet of sorts to the Hollywood machine.
Overall, the song Hollywood appears to be a commentary on the price of fame and success, and the toll it can take on personal relationships and authenticity. The singer seems to be lamenting the loss of connection with the other person, who has become consumed by the trappings of Hollywood and lost touch with who they were before.

@caponepalone7266
This was the song that made Majestic Casual gain a little bit of fame, being the only song on their channel in 2012 that made it to 500k views.
