Revolution
Pennywise Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We struggle through this so called life
Waiting for something to change
And now all hope is gone
The pain has lingered far to long
Black is a sky filled with rage
It's been too Long
We're holding on
And fight on
We will remember today
Let me hear you say wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
One more time in for solutions
Say it again wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
Now's the time for retribution
Say it again, that's right
Yesterday is a memory
Your fading light will set us free
Free from these thoughts of despair
Your end is coming fast
We're moving forward, we won't look back
The message will be loud and clear
It's been too Long
We're holding on
We'll right this wrong
And fight on
We will remember today
Let me hear you say wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
One more time in for solutions
Say it again wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
Now's the time for retribution
Say it again, that's right
We stood tall in the pouring rain
Our bodies broken
Our hearts are brave
One million strong
We cannot fall
It's all for one and one for all
Let me hear you say wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
One more time in for solutions
Say it again wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
Now's the time for retribution
Say it again, that's right
We want a revolution
We're living for today
It's time for resolution
And we will remember
We want a revolution
It's time we had our say
We want a revolution
And we will remember today
The song Revolution by Pennywise is a call to action in a world that is filled with despair and pain. The opening lines set the stage for the song's theme of pushing for change, as the lyrics describe the struggle through life in troubled times and the desire for something to change. The chorus emphasizes this desire, with the repeated line "We want a revolution" calling for a complete overhaul of the current system. The use of the word "retribution" highlights the feeling of anger and frustration that is fueling this call to action.
The second verse of the song continues this theme, with the lyrics stating that the past is a memory and it is time to move forward. The use of words such as "despair" and "fading light" suggest that the current state of affairs is unsustainable and that change is necessary. The song's bridge emphasizes the united front that is being formed, with the line "It's all for one and one for all" suggesting a sense of camaraderie and solidarity in the fight for change.
Overall, Pennywise's Revolution is a powerful call to arms for individuals who are discontent with the status quo and are pushing for a better future. The lyrics are emotive and impactful, conveying a sense of urgency that is hard to ignore.

@Bradley Kirkpatrick SVR 2007 was the first one I played, 13 was the second and I played all of them since then exept for 2k battle grounds, all stars, know your role, here comes the pain, smackdown, RAW and RAW 2. So in my opinion the best one in terms of gameplay was 2k14, in terms of graphics 2k19, and in terms of storytelling SVR 2009. Also 2k16 was the easiest because I have won over 400 matches without one single loss.
