The Prophecy
Pentakill Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The era of metal has begun. And metal shall prevail, for we know what they have done.

Five legends of our realm, who sought to follow the path of their dark musings. But they did not know what they had summoned.

Pentakill.

To these creatures, there is but one thing left to do.
Ha ha ha ha ha hah...

Heavy Metal.

Overall Meaning

The above lyrics are taken from Pentakill's song "The Prophecy". The song is a celebration of the rise of metal and how it has come to dominate our imaginations. The lyrics expound on the darkness and mystique surrounding metal music and how it has been perpetuated by its followers.

The first line of the song declares that the era of metal has begun and this is followed by the assertion that metal shall prevail as we know what they have done. This seems to be an allusion to the fact that the rise of metal music was partly due to the lack of quality music in other genres. The second line talks about five legends of the realm who took to the path of their dark musings and what they had summoned. This, perhaps, is an allusion to the way metal music evolved over time and how it was lead by artists who pushed the boundaries of what was accepted.

The most intriguing line in the song, however, is the punchline in which Pentakill mock their critics by laughing ha ha ha ha ha hah at the end of the verse. This line captures the essence of the rebellious and defiant nature of metal music and serves as a reminder that the genre will always exist to push back against the norms of society.

Karthus fits a niche and he isn't unviable when played well. I'm sure that goes without saying for all champs but really. Karthus scales well into late game, he just doesn't have a strong early game.

Mordekaiser I could say the same. He hurts being a melee mage with no CC but he still has heavy burst and again. Very strong in late game. His passive can be very deceptive in a trade. He could use a visual update of course.

Sona is very strong. The problem is that you don't notice it. Riot is working to make her strengths more noticeable which will probably be an update of some sort seeing as actually buffing her would make her way too strong.

Olaf is okay. He was strong before that big nerf but after a rework and a lot of tweaking you can use him as an anti duelist or full tank as long as you know how to let the ult work for you rather than against you.

Yorick is in the process of getting reworked so that his uninteresting early game where he bullies you all day and you just take it is fixed to be more interactive and counter-able while making his late game more useful than just ulting the Marksman and hoping for the best as you face roll your spells.

Is it just me, or should this be the first song in the Pentakill album? It feels like this is the intro to it.
