In their lifespan they released two full length albums (Pentimento, 2012) & (I, No Longer, 2015), two EPs (Wrecked, 2011) & (Inside The Sea, 2013), & in 2012 they released a split with Young English. They toured with Reggie And The Full Effect after they reformed in 2013 and subsequently became Reggie's full time backing band. Since they called it quits around 2016 they have since played some reunion shows.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Pentimento's song "The Wind" speaks about a certain sense of detachment, a desire to go wherever the wind takes the singer. This sense of distance is brought on, apparently, by a relationship that is faltering. The singer's companion pleads to be included in the journey, to be the wind that guides the singer. In the second stanza, the songwriter describes being on the rooftop, thinking of the companion and waiting for them, all while expecting to be forgotten. The lyrics end on a note of hope - the singer tells the companion not to give up on them because they haven't given up on the companion.

The song is a study of relationship dynamics - how people drift apart and come together, and the tug of war which occurs in those situations.
