Warning
Pepper (feat. Stick Figure) Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm outta place but I don′t know who to blame
So I, took a trip and now I'm stepping out over the border
Now I feel so cold in a really warm place
There's a million lights in a very tight space
She always wondered how the Milky Way would taste
′Cause we′re still here waiting
This is a warning, we got to get down to this place
This is a warning, we′re calling from miles away
This is a warning, we got to get down to this place
This is a warning, we're calling from miles away
I see the pieces but I don′t know where they go
And I'm, I′m running fast but I've never moved so slow
High in the desert, but I'm rolling in the snow
Now, I feel so warm in a really cold place
A million lights in a very tight space
She′s looking up and she′s waiting on the Big Bang
'Cause we′re still here waiting
But the sun he's still hiding
This is a warning, we got to get down to this place
This is a warning, we′re calling from miles away
This is a warning, we got to get down to this place
This is a warning, we're calling from miles away
Well, I′ve been holding on to everything you saying
Your words and your melodies to the music that you're playing
I tried to live my life each and every day
Making the most of every moment and the rest will go away
You know we always still got work to do
And all the reasons in the world are bringing me back to you
And I would like to leave you all with this feeling
Said if you wanna love, you give love that's all you really need
This is a warning
This is a warning
The song "Warning" by Pepper (feat. Stick Figure) is a powerful piece that speaks to the complexities of life and the pursuit of finding one's place in the world. The song opens with a sense of confusion, as the singer is in a new place with people he doesn't know yet. He feels disoriented and unsure of who to blame for his situation. He takes a trip across the border and finds himself in a new environment, feeling cold in a warm place.
The chorus serves as a warning, reminding the listener that we need to pay attention to what is happening in the world around us. There is a sense of urgency, as the warning is being given from miles away. The singer sees the pieces of his life but isn't sure where they fit, and he's running fast but not making any progress. It's a powerful message that encourages the listener to be mindful in their actions and choices.
In the final verse, the singer reflects on the importance of living a fulfilling life. He has been holding onto the words and melodies that have meaning for him, and he tries to live each day to the fullest. He recognizes that there is always more to do but encourages the listener to focus on giving love to others. The song ends with a repetition of the warning, emphasizing the message one last time.

How is this band not so much bigger by now? I’ve listened to them for years now and all of their albums are awesome. I still talk to people who have never heard of Pepper. It’s really mind blowing. Maybe they just haven’t sold out...
Guys, please leave your Hawaiian paradise and come back to the little town of Tulsa for a show!! It’s been too long
