Attracts me like no other lover,
Something in the way she woos me
I don't wanna leave her now,
You know I believe in how
Don't wanna leave her now
Somewhere in her smile she knows,
Something in her style that shows me
I don't wanna leave her now,
You know I believe in how
Don't wanna leave her now
You're asking me will my love grow,
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around, now it may show,
I don't know, I don't know
Something in the way she knows,
And all I have to do is think of her,
Something in the things she shows me
I don't wanna leave her now,
You know I believe in how
Don't wanna leave her now
You're asking me will my love grow,
I don't know, I don't know
You stick around, now it may show,
I don't know, I don't know
Something in the way she moves,
Attracts me like no other lover,
Something in the way she woos me
I don't want to leave her now,
You know I believe in how
Don't wanna leave her now
Don't wanna leave her now
The lyrics of Perry Como's "Something" describes the irresistible attraction to a woman that he cannot explain. He is drawn to her in a way that he has never experienced before, and her presence and personality are so captivating that he never wants to leave her side. The singer praises her smile and style, both of which leave him feeling smitten and enchanted. He admits that he doesn't know if his love will continue to grow, but he urges the listener to stick around to see what develops.
The song is a love ballad, released in 1970, written by George Harrison, and originally performed by The Beatles in their "Abbey Road" album. Harrison wrote the song for his wife Pattie Boyd and sold the rights to the song to donate the profits to charity. The song has since been covered by many artists, including James Taylor, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra, among others. "Something" is widely considered to be one of the Beatles' most memorable love songs and is often included in lists of greatest songs of all time.
