The band (Perry, Andy, Danny, Snake & Dave) were influenced by Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Credence Clearwater Revival. Although each band member has his own sets of roots in rock & southern rock music since before puberty, they all knew growing up that they would be making music for the rest of their lives.
The band has been told that their style of Southern Rock is good old-fashion ass-kicking, boot-stomping, bar music that brings back memories of the fabulous southern rock tunes of the 70’s. Since 2004, the band has played countless dates in clubs & festivals in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Holland, and Belgium; with a spot on the 2006 "Hallelujah Tour."
In the Spring of 2005 Perry and The Travellers released an EP titled "Max light" which was recorded at "Studio Cobra" in Stockholm. It was three songs which included the big hit "Streetlight." After being picked up by Swedish radio and receiving a good deal of airtime, the record got good reviews. This resulted in an EP that was originally to be used for promotional purposes being successfully sold in local record stores in Karlstad.
In early 2006, the band recorded a set of six songs in Åmål at "Dead End Production," and they recorded an additional three songs at "Dust Studios" in Karlstad, for the September, 2006 release of the album "Hard Lovin" on HGM records. In November 2007, Perry and The Travellers headed into the studio, threw up some tents, and slept in sleeping bags so they could begin work on the second masterpiece at "Leon Studios" outside of Karlstad. The first nine songs were recorded before the band took the summer off to write 5 more songs for the full length LP.
Snake is a musician of many talents. He joined the band January 8, 2008. His playing the keyboards, harmonica, slide guitar, and singing backup vocals was a great asset to the band. Dave joined the band in June of 2008. He plays the drums, he’s exudes confidence, and he has a compatibility with the other members of the band that brings a feeling that Perry and The Travellers is now complete, and ready for the world.
After spending several months in the rehearsal studio, the band moved camp back to the recording studio to finish the remaining songs for the new album titled, "Other Side of the Bridge" which was released June 17, 2009. After the album was completed, Perry and the other band members sadly had to say goodbye to their long-time friend and bass player, Danny. He will surely be missed by the band as well as fans. But, the band welcomed in Tim Flynth, the new bass player who somehow manages to take the music to yet another level.
If you like good old classic southern rock music with wicked harmony and beautiful melodies, and you feel that the popular music of today needs a little kick-in-the-ass, then tune in to Perry and The Travellers! The band has promised to renew your faith in their ability to play good old southern rock-n-roll!

Run it up, slow down
Run it up, slow down
Run it up, slow down
Hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with the money
In a romance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
Young bitch, I came up from nothing
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with money
In a romance with the money
In a real trance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
Young bitch I came up from nothing
Way, way down at the bottom
Now I just slow dance with the money
Every red bottom, I got 'em
Use to be hungry for days
Now I got steak on my plate
So wavy, just look at the wave
So wavy, just look at the wave
Yeah I pull up in the Benz
I got that heat on my plate
Killin this shit, DOA
Killin this shit, DOA
Coroner bitch, coroner
Yeah, look at us shining
I just cop me the Patek
I call that perfect timing
Look at these perfect diamonds, yeah I just do it
BlocBoy on my side, and he is a shooter
When we step out, paparazzi want shoot us
20/20 vision, drip on these niggas, jacuzzi
Hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with money
In a romance with the money
In a real trance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
Young bitch, I came up from nothing
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with money
In a romance with the money
In a real trance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
I'ma count up me a check, nothing less (nothing less)
I just spent three bands at Louis V, I must confess (word)
Jugg and finesse, her ass I caress (yeah, yeah, yeah)
If her boyfriend got a problem, I shoot above the chest (rrah)
That's a headshot, no Flinstone, bedrock
Witnesses say they heard four shots, then his head dropped
I just bought 'bout five Glocks from the pawn shop (that's on my mama)
Yeah my niggas down, we eat you like they do lawn stops
Before I cut some grass I'm a cut a check yeah
Before I touch her ass, gotta get some neck yeah
Get my green like Shrek yeah, serving all the crackheads
Make his brains hit the skillet like a cracked egg
Hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with money
In a romance with the money
In a real trance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
Young bitch, I came up from nothing
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just slow dance with money
In a romance with the money
In a real trance with the money
While these hoes be hating, yeah
I just be counting a hundred
Really be counting a hundred
The lyrics to Perry and The Travellers' "Dance" speak to the power of money and success, in the face of those who may have once doubted or hated on the artist. The repetition of "run it up, slow down" could be interpreted as a reminder to enjoy the fruits of one's labor, but also to remain grounded and humble. The hook of the song, "Hoes be hating, yeah / I just slow dance with money / In a romance with the money / In a real trance with the money," further emphasizes the idea that critics or doubters do not have an impact on the artist's ability to enjoy their success and wealth.
The verses take on a more braggadocious tone, with lines like "I got that heat on my plate / Killin this shit, DOA / Coroner bitch, coroner" and "Get my green like Shrek yeah, serving all the crackheads / Make his brains hit the skillet like a cracked egg." There are also references to luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Patek Phillipe, as well as violence and crime.
Overall, the lyrics to "Dance" seem to convey the message that those who work hard and achieve success should revel in it, even if it attracts negativity or criticism from others.
