Yorn started as a drummer who also played guitar. In 1990, he was drumming for his band in a high school talent contest when someone suggested he sing the Replacements song "Talent Show." That went over so well, a competing band asked him to sing Neil Young’s "Rockin' In the Free World" with them.
He was first recognized when the Farrelly brothers picked "Strange Condition" for their film Me, Myself & Irene.
He has gained increasing popularity following the use of his song "Just Another" on popular WB television show Dawson's Creek.
Another of his songs, Murray was used in the credits of the film Igby Goes Down
The song "Undercover" was used in the first Spiderman movie and appears on the soundtrack.
The song "Lose You" was used in the closing of an episode of House on Fox.
Relator
Pete Yorn Lyrics

I didn't know what to do. I was tired,
I was hungry,I fight.
Now I'm away,
I write home everyday
And I see you on the TV at night.
(Chorus)
You can see that life's for us to talk about.
You can leave whenever you want out.
Whoa.
You don't relate to me,
No girl,
You don't respect me,
No girl,
No girl. Oh yeah.
When I met you,
I didn't know what to do,
But I noticed that I didn't really feel.
Now you're away,
You write home everyday. I don't beg,
I don't borrow, I steal.
(Chorus)
You don't think that life's for us to talk about.
You can leave whenever you want out,
You want out. Well,
You don't relate to me,
No girl. You don't respect me,
No girl. (you can leave when ever you want out)
And you don't relate to me,
No girl. And you don't respect me,
No girl. (You can leave whenever you want out)
No you don't relate to me,
No girl. And you don't respect me,
No girl. No girl. Yeah.
The lyrics of "Relator" by Pete Yorn tell of the strife in a relationship. The singer admits to being unsure of how to act when they first met their partner, feeling too tired and hungry to fully engage. However, now that they are apart, they feel the need to write home every day and see their partner on TV at night. The chorus speaks to the ambiguity of the situation, with the partner able to leave whenever they want out, yet there is still an underlying sense that they should talk about their issues. The song ends with the repeated refrain that the partner does not relate to or respect the singer.
Overall, the lyrics paint an honest picture of the ups and downs of a relationship. There is a sense of longing and confusion, but also a desire for resolution. The repetition of the lines "you don't relate to me" and "you don't respect me" highlight the main issue at hand and add a sense of frustration to the song.

Things dont always have to be brand new to be interesting. Have you heard about vintage?? In France, we talk about le charme suranné of an ancient movie or music. Please, Keep your mind opened 😊...
