Der letzte Walzer
Peter Alexander Lyrics

La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la
Der letzte Walzer mit dir
Sagte mir: die musst du lieben
Mein schönstes Souvenir
Ist dieser Walzer geblieben
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la
The song "Der letzte Walzer" by Peter Alexander begins with the singer saying that the dance is over and he's ready to leave. However, he sees the person he loves standing alone and he decides to stay for one more dance. This moment, the last dance with his love, becomes a special memory that will forever be engraved in his heart. The singer describes his emotional attachment to this moment and how it marked the beginning of something special with this person.
The singer then recounts how the following times spent with his love were beautiful, and he believed they would never end. However, just like the flame of a candle, their relationship came to an end abruptly. The singer is left with only memories of the love they shared during that last dance, which he refers to as a memento. The song ends with the singer reminiscing about the past and the happy memories he had shared with the person he loved while dancing that last waltz.
Overall, Peter Alexander's song "Der letzte Walzer" is a poignant and nostalgic reflection on a past love story. It emphasizes the importance of living in the moment and cherishing each and every unforgettable moment in life.

Hab dank liebes Schicksal
