I remember when, when I first moved here,
I recall the time when I arrived at this place for the first time.

A long time ago, 'cause I heard some song I used to hear back then,
It was quite some time ago when I was here last time and heard a song that felt familiar.

A lone time ago. I remember when, even further back,
It was even longer ago when I saw something written that I used to relate to.

In another town, 'cause I saw something written I used to say back then,
In a different place, I came across some written words that had a lot of significance for me then.

Hard to comprehend
It's challenging to understand the memories from the past and how they connect to where I am now.

And the question is, was I more alive Then than I am now?
I wonder if I was more vibrant, alive and active in the past compared to my current time now.

I happily have to disagree; I laugh more often now, I cry more often now, I am more me.
I truly disagree with the previous question as I laugh, cry, and express my most authentic self more often now.

But of cause some days, I just lie around And hardly exist, And can't tell apart what I'm eating From my hand or my wrist.
Although on some days I may not be as active and present, especially when it comes to small details like distinguishing what I am eating from my own body parts.

'cause flesh is flesh, flesh as flesh as flesh, The difference is thin.
Even though there's a difference between the flesh that makes up our body parts, it's still very similar to each other overall.

But life has a certain ability or breathing new Life into me, So I breathe it in.
Life has the power of renewing and refreshing me, so I choose to embrace it fully.

It says here we are, and we all are here, And you still can make sense, If you just show up and present an honest face, Instead of that grin.
We are all here and can still connect to each other in a meaningful way by showing up authentically instead of putting up a facade.

And the other day, this new friend of mine Said something to me "just because something starts differently, Doesn't mean it's worth less."
Recently, a new friend shared a valuable lesson with me that just because something has a different beginning, it doesn't mean it's less valuable or important.

And I soaked it in, how I soaked it in, How I soaked it in
I soaked in the message deeply and took it to heart.

And just as to prove how right he was, Then you came.
As if to support my friend's statement, you arrived and proved that anything can have true worth and value.

Because of this realization and newfound perspective, I choose to give you a chance and see what value you have to offer.
