Only heard about Peter Coffin a few months ago. When I heard about this whole ordeal, it looked crazy.
While it is possible he was indeed catfished, he was the instigator in the online drama. His attempts to muddy the water with her own behavior and the MAGA hat (not even relevant to when the event happened back in 2011) comes off as disingenuous.
It also comes off as deflecting as well as minimizing/quasi-justifying his behavior.
In addition, not mentioning the copy-pasted "cease and desist" email comes off as less than forthcoming. Considering his honesty on whether he would misrepresent himself online (ex: create sock accounts) is what's being debated, it does come off like he is being less than forthright.

Yes, and someone implied his wife and Kimi might be the same person because they have several things in common (date of birth) so Peter had his fans brigade them, Twitter suspended her account which was her only means of income.

Yes this is very peter -now One of my friends did (against his will) profile peter and one of the thing was that Peter is very manipulative and he knows what he is doing (lol he called him the Jordan B Peterson of the left)
