This scene is awesome, even though it makes no sense whatsoever. LOL Marvel just, literally, threw a bunch of big words into Spidey's dialogue and let him win assuming that nobody knew what those words meant or whether or not they would actually apply. The biggest plot armor in the MCU: Spiderman beating the Sorcerer Supreme with math. Not gonna lie, after this scene, I was glad that Peter took massive Ls in his personal life because I don't understand why he would try to meddle in shit that he didn't know anything about. Regardless of his intentions, it shows a lack of maturity that anyone without a god-complex could understand. I guess it took Aunt Mae dying and losing his friends to get the message across but I doubt this was the lesson he learned for this experience. Both were holding back because they didn’t want to actually hurt each other, so both start using their smarts to try to outsmart each other instead. Spidey wins by being great at maths, Strange didn’t stand much of a chance when it came to intelligence I think (considering just how good Peter currently is academically, Strange left school years ago and although is a Doctor he doesn’t understand geometry that well which is a major issue if his own dimension is geometry). If this was someone actually dangerous, Doctor Strange would've been so much more aggressive. The only reasons why Peter beat him are because A, he knew math (geometry) better than Strange did. And B, actually came up with a solution to restrain Strange long enough by using his skill to his advantage.
