Smooth
Peterson Lyrics

Sailing down the main road, as easy as can be
Sailing down the main road, as easy as can be
Love's like smooth sailing baby, from year old for you and me

Sailing down the highway, honey we ain't taking no detours
Sailing down the highway, oh honey we ain't taking no detours
Staying off the back road baby,
Honey you know we've been there 'round before

Love's like smooth sailing
Smooth smooth sailing
Love's like smooth sailing baby, from year old for you and me

Cruising in a smooth ride, honey I don't feel a single bump
Cruising in a smooth ride, honey I don't feel a single bump
Enjoy the scenery baby, gonna sit way up front

Love's like smooth sailing
Smooth sailing
Love's like smooth sailing baby, from year old for you and me

Love's like smooth sailing baby, from year old for you and me

Love's like smooth smooth smooth sailing baby, from year old for you and me

Smooth sailing, baby

One of my favorite shows is The Jeffersons which started out as a spin-off of all in the family TV show. If you remember George and Louise Jefferson they were basically two blue collar people who owned a dry cleaning store on the All in the family.

Later is George became more successful he opened up a string of dry cleaners and they become upper middle class
Now think about this Louise married George when he was building. Louise wasn't looking for a man that had to have so much money she married a man that would be a good husband and give her a good family which he did.

Sadly the modern woman would never consider a situation like this or if they do it's when they're older in their mid-40s when they have very little if any options or bargaining power. This is the dilemma for most modern black women who for the most part look down with disdain on men regardless of what that man is achieved.

What these women want now is a high earning man to take care of their lifestyle which is ironic because with that basically means is despite how much money a woman makes she still wants a man to make more which means she still wants the man to take care of them but she doesn't want to follow any instruction. "They say they want leader but they cant seem to make their minds think they better close it

And let BM guide them to the purple rain"...lol

My sister is a radical "womanist" and she is having a mental crisis now that she is 30. She is going to therapy and is on antidepressants right now.

You say that like stay-at-home-mothers/wives arent on antidepressants? In fact, they are the main ones on antidepressants.

This thread was interesting to read...just wow...but either way hopefully your sister gets the proper help she needs, I've watched women (and currently just had a conversation with a woman last night) plus a sister who were going thru similar trauma, it's kinda sad to watch and not be able to help

Got married at 25 and so many women asked me why I was rushing and that I could wait and yadda yadda yadda. I've been married almost 10 years, have 3 kids and am so happy! I know a lot of depressed, jaded, single women.

@Patricia Grady I don't think he's speaking for all women. There is a certain group of women who subscribe to a certain lifestyle. Those are whom he's talking about. Their will always be exceptions to every rule, but those aren't the standard

Patricia Grady

Every woman has a right to their opinion. I am so happy for you, this can also be said about married women. He's contradicting himself, he can't speak for every woman.

@A happily drunk puppy because they are. Statistic show that most of these women are depressed or unhappy with their lives. They will say that and in the same breath say they don't need no man. Are there people who really like being alone and single? Yes! But I think the vast majority just wasn't able to find someone and tries to do the whole, "I'm an independent woman" thing. Like pushing someone away before they hurt you

What a lot of women don't realize is that the majority of successful men work hard and get ahead in life in order to provide for their families.
If there's no prospect of having a wife and kids, most men will choose to live minimalist lifestyles.
The career is a tool for most men, not the end goal, women are learning that now.

Career is both a tool and an end goal for me. As a woman, I am happy with working and making my own money and really find it SO suspicious that so many manosphere boys and pick-me girls dont like women working. 🤔🤔🤔

The many Women like me who like working because it gives us power and control over our own lives. To make our money means we dont have to depend on or need men (why manosphere hates it, intimidated by it), we can provide the lifestyles we want for ourselves because many of you refuse to make 6-figures, so we do it ourselves. Making money means living the best of life to your ability (why pickmes hate it, because their whole lives they have been nothing but babymakers) I have been to 27 different countries and have already planned to visit more.

How about stop being jealous of women and just do better?
