My wife and I heard this song for the first time when we were driving to church together last winter in Wisconsin. I was going through some real personal troubles and she was dealing with them as hard as I was. But when this song came on it seemed all of our troubles and issues when away for the moment. The sun was shining and it was warm in the car. We had each other and we knew we would be okay. Fast forward to now and I’m away in the military as a way to fix myself. So, over the summer my family and I went to Mackinaw City, and oh boy did we have a surprise when we got back. There was a white note on our door. We had to be out by September 15th, or else. This song reminds me of the drive back home and the last couple weeks I had with some of my best friends. Sunset Lover gives me chills everytime. It also reminds me of wind in my hair and hands out the window driving through Michigan, to get back home. Another thing that made the last few weeks there the best was the fact my family couldn't afford internet at the time, which left me to playing outside with friends all day and playing Breathe Of the Wild on my switch during the night. Sunset Lover also makes me tear up a bit too. 2018 was blessed...

But it makes me feel like I have some kind of meaning, that I'm not just another face in a whole world of people, that I have an actual purpose. I've been feeling pretty down lately... This song makes me feel better for a minute. It reminds me how much other people care about me, and how awful they would feel if I was gone.
