Gravitation
Petit biscuit Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm picturing your face
With millions of colors
Just to feel the empty space
Standing in between
Of virtual planets

I'm moving back to you
Gravitation fields
Gravitation fields

Stuck in between
Of virtual planets

I'm picturing in my dreams
That there is a particle
That fills the curve of space and time

I'm moving back to you
Gravitation fields
Gravitation fields

Stuck in between
Stuck in between
Stuck in between

The space shuttle Discovery

Is still on its way to orbit after a successful
Ascent to through main engine cut off

Overall Meaning

Petit Biscuit's song Gravitation is a hauntingly beautiful ode to love and distance in the digital age. The opening lines "I'm picturing your face, with millions of colors" portrays the singer of the song painting a vivid picture of their loved one in their mind's eye. These colors represent the multitude of emotions and feelings they experience when thinking about their partner. However, despite this beautiful imagery, the singer is unable to escape the feeling of emptiness caused by their separation from their loved one. They are stuck in between "virtual planets", unable to bridge the gap that separates them.

The next verse reveals the singer's hope of being reunited with their loved one. The metaphor of a "particle" filling the curve of space and time suggests that the singer believes that they will be able to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their love. The chorus repeats the phrase "Gravitation fields" as if to suggest that the force of gravity, while unable to be seen, will ultimately bring them back together. However, this hope is tinged with a sense of resignation as the singer laments being "stuck in between". This feeling of being trapped is ultimately what gives the song its power and beauty.

Cheer~~~movement, or a tendency to move, toward a center of gravity, as in the falling of bodies to the earth.(all rhythm accompaniment...good)😊
