H.K.
Peyote Asesino Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

caminaba por la calle
sin
mirar por donde iba
deteniendome siempre al llegar a las esquinas
en eso
andaba
cuando fui atacado
por unos harekrishna que estaban resalados

me cagaron a patadas
me vistieron de naranja
me lavaron el cerebro
y me mandaron pa la zanja
salí de la zanja cuando desperté
me sentía un poco etéreo
tomaba solo té

hare hare
harekrishna
hare hare
harekrishna

pasaron unas minas

me miró
de reojo y me dijo "pasá pajero"

me bajé en el barrio
de mi tía
entré en un bar y pedí una Matutina
me dijo el gallego desde atrás del mostrador
"ten moza, que pelada mas hermosa"
mi tía me miraba desconcertada
"perdoname mijo pero de esto no se nada
andá a lo de la Tota, la esposa del sastre
esa también tiene un hijo
que es un desastre"
la Tota era una gorda descomunal
no sabía cocinar
todo mal
mientras me echaba a patadas a la calle
me gritaba en la oreja
"a vos no hay quien te salve"
me pudrieron el bocho
me jodieron de por vida
bailando en 18
sabiéndome un vejiga
no encuentro
la forma
de evitar la maldición
me deja idiota
tanta paz interior

malditos HK
they fuck up mi vida
feeling like a jerk
sabiéndome un vejiga

un vejiga

un vejiga
soy un belinún

Overall Meaning

The beginning of Peyote Asesino's song "H.K." paints a picture of the singer simply walking down the street when he is suddenly attacked by a group of Hare Krishnas who beat him up and brainwash him into becoming a part of their cult. He emerges from this brainwashing feeling disconnected from reality, but still under their control, chanting "hare hare, hare krishna." His attempts to seek help from others, including his aunt who knows about the "evil eye" and has a recipe for lice, are largely futile, as he is still under the influence of the cult.

The second half of the song provides further details of the singer's struggle to break free from the cult's control, as he visits his aunt's neighbor who is known for having a delinquent son. Even though the son is of little help, insulting the singer and refusing to allow him in, the neighbor ends up kicking him out and yelling that he is beyond saving. The singer concludes this section of the song with the repeated phrase "un vejiga", meaning an idiot or a loser.

The song can be interpreted as a commentary on the dangers of cults and the power they hold over individuals, particularly those who are disenfranchised or feel disconnected from society. The repeated use of the insult "un vejiga" highlights the feelings of shame and self-doubt that can come with being a part of a cult or being under someone else's control.
