Carol Of The Bells
Phantom Planet Lyrics

sweet silver bells,
all seem to say,
throw cares away
Christmas is here,
bringing good cheer,
to young and old,
Oh how they pound,
raising the sound,
o'er hill and dale,
telling their tale,
Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
On on they send ,
on without end,
their joyful tone to every home
Dong Ding dong ding, dong Bong
The lyrics of Phantom Planet's "Carol of the Bells" describe the joy and excitement that Christmas brings. The first stanza sets the stage with the ringing of sweet silver bells, which seem to suggest that it's time to throw all of our worries and cares away. The second stanza highlights the universality of Christmas, which brings good cheer not just to the young and old, but also to the meek and the bold.
The third stanza picks up the pace with a description of the pounding of the bells, which rise over hill and dale, telling their uplifting tale. The fourth and final stanza encourages everyone to sing and join in on the festivities. The repeating chorus of "Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas" underscores the joy and delight of the holiday season, as the bells send out their joyful tones to every home.
Overall, the "Carol of the Bells" is all about spreading happiness and goodwill during the Christmas season, and the lyrics reflect this sentiment perfectly.
