Phillips was a member of the Gateway Quartet and a bellhop before he recorded "Sea of Love". The song was arranged and produced by Eddie Shuler for neighbor George Khoury's label. After three months of work on the arrangement, building up the vocal group and trying out different musicians, the song was ready for release. It sold heavily and was leased to Mercury Records. "Sea of Love" went to # 2 in the U.S. pop charts and spent 14 weeks in the top 40, as well as reaching # 1 on the R&B chart. It sold over two million copies in 1959

Phillips was deprived of a hit in the UK although his version received a considerable amount of airplay on the BBC Light Programme and Radio Luxembourg. However, in the UK "Sea of Love" was covered by British rock n roller Marty Wilde who took it to No. 3 on the pop charts

She read the script and still decided to do the movie. She also did a lot of improv and alterations to the script. So, she also contributed to the stereotypes that she then complained about. It's weird cause I actually liked her performance in the movie knocked up O.o. Rogans character did some dumb stuff and I thought her character reacted fine. A single character in a work of fiction should in no way paint an entire gender to be the same, and if it does, that's on the individual who sees it that way to sort it out.. I've seen plenty of male characters in movies that are 'toxic' but realize its fiction #1 and #2 it isnt a real representation of men.

These characters, whether male or female, are fake and we shouldn't look at them as a actual depiction of real people. It's not that serious.

I felt like Knocked up was great actually. I loved her character as I found her relatable. But the I saw "Home Sweet Hell" and decided she played that roll so well and with such ease, it has to be who she is most comfortable being lol especially now since she's known to be crude and difficult and a nostril-up turner. She read the script... She never had to do this movie. It is widely known for this movie she improvised a lot of her dialogue, she could have changed her characters portrayal. This was so early in Seths career (all he had was a minor role in 40 yr old virgin) that i believe she had a lot more power on this set than possibly others. Sethlanded a star in Heigl For her not to speak up more about this at the time but then later bash it is ridiculous.

I had seen some of the movies that Katherine was in, but not recently.
To be fair, women were often portrayed in Hollywood movies in relatively unflattering ways, so I can definitely see her point of view.
However, as an actress, she would and should be able to express criticism of her own craft... in that regard, anyone working in any field should have the freedom to do so without fearing their reputations would suffer as a result.

Unfortunately, most people everywhere cannot really express honest opinions about their jobs for example because they could easily get fired for something their bosses don't agree with. We know the law says one thing and is supposed to protect an individual, but realistically, an organisation can easily provide any kind of 'reason' for firing a person even thoug criticism was the real culprit.

At any rate, I'm glad she is getting new work and putting the past behind her (along with the industry).

Katherine Heigl deserved better!
After 10 years she is finally getting her career back but she still lost 10 years of what honestly should have been her best years (like she was the perfect age, absolutely gorgeous (she still is but she’s still aged because she’s human everyone ages so yeah she does look different even though she’s still beautiful) an absolutely amazing actress who could play any role)
She did NOTHING wrong. She spoke the truth. She stuck up for herself and her friends. She spoke out about all the things that everyone else was too scared to say. She was brave, and if she did what she did back then today (like if all of this was taking place right now in todays world) she would have been PRAISED for what she said, but instead she was labeled “difficult” and “ungrateful” and “rude” and was black listed by Hollywood. She spoke nothing but the truth and deserved better.

Katherine's character actually doesn't have to change very much... she only becomes more patient. The movie wasn't a box office hit but there are some series out there now like the one really don't know its name I think I saw it maybe once Where it has two women with a man and the three are living together and one woman wants to have a Child I think because things have changed in the world and stuff like this series is being aired is because people who are Gay/lesbian are trying to push that kind of entertainment thru. I remember when all that happened, basically everyone who worked with her said she was pretty awful to work with, that she was a diva and thought she was above everyone else. I have no idea if that’s true or not, I’m not an actor who worked with her, but I usually think when one person is saying something and everyone who is also a part of what the one person said completely disagrees and says she was the problem, I tend to go with the group as opposed to the one person, It seems like she’s grown up some, so that’s good

Jesus, this pisses me off so much. I have a very similar personality to Heigl, no-nonsense and tell it like it is. I also have a theatre degree and would like to do more with acting but if casting directors are intimidated by a woman who holds her own and is intelligent, well, count me out... I only want to work with people who have a professional attitude and are prepared to interact on an adult level. Nothing Heigl said was in any way controversial. I always saw it as pretty hypocritical, especially since there had to be other offers considering her previous work. She did not agree to renegotiate her contract (Grey's Anatomy 2008) and also she exposed producers for treating actors and film crew as slaves/half-slaves/prostitutes. (17h shift).

It must be really hard to not be able to be authentic in an interview.
