Gwe wange
Era gwe gwenalonda
Nwebwekoribaki no no sirikuleka
Kanjatule mu maaso ga bangi
Gwe wange
Era nze wuwo
Oba bwavu
Oba no bwebugagga
Nabeeranga naawe
Kuba gwe gwenalonda
Okufa kwekulitwawula
Gwe wange
Era nze wuwo
Tuyambagane nga
Diana wulira olwaleero
Leka nkukuume, nga nawe Diana bwonkuuma
Nakulonda mu bangi, Diana Babirye omulongo wowo
Leka nkutwale wano ewange
Omutima gumbeere muteego
Mwatu mwenya nze ndabe akazigo
Tambula ndabe ebitumbwe
Simanyi no maama
Wootoli Diana ndibeera wa
Simanya obiwulira, Diana njazika ku matu go
Akazigo mu mannyo
Bwoseka bwoti mpulira nfirawo
Leka nkutwale wano ewange
Nkakasa oja kweyagala
Tuyambagane nga
Diana wulira olwaleero
Leka nkukuume, nga nawe Diana bwonkuuma
Nakulonda mu bangi, Diana Babirye omulongo wowo

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Philly Bongoley Lutaaya's song "Diana" express the singer's deep affection and longing for a woman named Diana. He describes her beauty with phrases like "nkulonda mu bangi" (I love you so much) and "omulongo wowo" (lovely legs). He mentions their past moments together, urging her to come to him and to "nkukuume" (console me). He also talks about the pain of losing her, using phrases like "okufa kwekulitwawula" (death would be better than separation) and "bwoseka bwoti mpulira nfirawo" (laughing while tears flow).

The song's repetitive chorus ("Diana wulira olwaleero, leka nkukuume") adds to the overall feeling of yearning and heartbreak. It seems that the singer is trying to reconnect with Diana and possibly rekindle their relationship. The unique blend of Luganda and English in the lyrics gives the song a distinct Ugandan flavor, and the heartfelt delivery of the lyrics by Philly Bongoley Lutaaya make this a song that is both emotional and relatable.
