That i care so much about you and I will never let you down
There's just something haunting me now
And I know it's wrong, and I know it's wrong
Everyone keeps telling me again
And I wish i could find a way to make you understand
Everyone keeps telling me again
And I don't want to break your heart
But for how long can I hide the truth before we fall apart?
How can I make myself come clean now?
And I know it's wrong, and I know it's wrong
Everyone keeps telling me again
And I wish i could find a way to make you understand
Everyone keeps telling me again
And I know it's wrong, and I know it's wrong again
'Interlude
And everytime I think I've won
But I can't leave this all behind
And everytime I think I've won
But then I find i cannot hide
Will this ever let me be?
NOOOOO!!!
Cause everyone keeps telling me again
And I wish i could find a way to make you understand
Everyone keeps telling me again
And I know it's wrong, and I know it's wrong again
Solo
Everyone is calling after
And I know it's wrong, and I know it's wrong (x4)
And I know it's wrong again
The lyrics of Phobic's song "Wrong" speak about the internal struggle of a person who cares deeply about their significant other, but is haunted by something that they know is wrong. The person is aware that they cannot keep hiding the truth from their partner if they truly care for them. The repetition of the lyrics "Everyone keeps telling me again" suggests that the person may be receiving external pressure or advice from friends or family about their situation. However, despite the support, the person feels trapped and unable to move forward, as they cannot leave the past behind.
The interlude between the first and second chorus suggests that the person believes they have overcome their inner conflict, only to find themselves still struggling to hide the truth. The use of the solo and repetition of the lyrics "And I know it's wrong again" towards the end of the song emphasizes the frustration and desperation of the person, who cannot seem to escape the guilt and shame they feel.
Overall, the lyrics of "Wrong" explore the theme of moral conflict and the difficulty of coming clean when it may cause pain and irreversible consequences for someone else. The song provides a glimpse into the emotional turmoil that one may experience when faced with a difficult decision that affects the lives of others.
