Bulutlar kızıla boyanmış
Bir rüya uğruna boş yalanlara inanmış
Ruhumuz kadehlerde şaraba bulanmış
Bu son kurban
Umudun yolunda
Bu son oyun
Melekler ağlar
Bir hiç uğruna
Bitmeyen kavga
Kapanmayan yara
Kemanlar çalarken
Biz onlara inandık
Uçup giderken hayaller Arkasından bakakaldık
Krallar sofrasında
Açılmayan bir sandık
Düşler kapanırken
Alem başlamış
Bu son kurban umudun yolunda
Bu son oyun tanrının huzurunda
Melekler ağlar
Bir hiç uğruna
Bitmeyen kavga
Kapanmayan yara
Bu son kurban umudun yolunda
Bu son oyun tanrının huzurunda
Melekler ağlar
Bir hiç uğruna
Bitmeyen kavga
Kapanmayan yara
Son
Bu Son
Son
Bu Son
Kavga...
Melekler ağlar
Bir hiç uğruna
Bitmeyen kavga
Kapanmayan yara
The lyrics to Pickpocket's song "Son" describe a situation where the singer and their companions have been deceived by false promises and empty dreams in pursuit of a better life. The imagery of the red clouds and the mixing of their souls with wine gives a sense of desperation and hopelessness. The title "Son" means "end" in English and is repeated throughout the song, creating a feeling of finality and resignation.
The lyrics speak of a sacrifice that has been made in the name of hope, but the final outcome is uncertain. The singer and their companions have put their faith in something that has not materialized and they are left with nothing but their wounds and an endless struggle. The mention of angels crying suggests that this sacrifice may have been in vain and is not worthy of divine intervention.
Overall, the song speaks to the desperation and disillusionment that can come with striving for something that may never be achievable. It is a sobering reminder that sometimes, despite our best efforts and intentions, we may not be able to attain the things we desire most.
