Pidżama Porno disbanded in 1990, but reactivated 4 years later. The demo album "Futurista" was officialy released under the same name, but it also contained six songs from "Ulice jak stygmaty". In 1997 "Złodzieje zapalniczek" was released, "Styropian" followed in 1998. Then, the "Ulice jak stygmaty" demo album was recorded again, and released as "Ulice jak stygmaty - absolutne rarytasy". The next album, "Marchef w butonierce", arguably their most popular one, saw the light in 2001.
As for now, their newest album is "Bułgarskie Centrum", which appeared in 2004. It is slightly different from the former releases, but is still widely appreciated among fans.
Currently, the band consist of the following artists:
Krzysztof "Grabaż" Grabowski - vocals, lyrics, composition
Andrzej Kozakiewicz - vocals, guitar
Sławek Mizerkiewicz - guitar
Julian Piotrowiak - bass guitar
Rafał Piotrowiak - percussion
Some members of the band also form Grabaż i Strachy na Lachy.

Porządek panuje w Warszawie

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Trwa spontaniczne flagowanie
Ze świątyń rozlewa się mszalne wino
Wyczekując na zmartwychwstanie
Światło pomnaża światło
Słychać salwy armatnie z taśmy
Błękitni listonosze,
Prazdnik Prazdnik
Porządek panuje w Warszawie
Porządek panuje w Gdańsku
Porządek panuje na Śląsku
Cała Polska taka taka spokojna
Tutaj i teraz przebiega linia frontu
Powietrze jest już nasycone
Wszystko zostało powiedziane
Ostatnie mosty zostały spalone
Nic nie zostanie zapomniane
Nawet wtedy gdy przyjdzie wiosna -
Wierzymy że kiedyś
Eksplodują szubienice
A ludzie pootwierają okna
Porządek panuje...
The lyrics of Pidżama Porno's song Porządek panuje w Warszawie depict a chaotic and seemingly paradoxical scene of an Olympic festival taking place within the confines of the Warsaw ghetto during World War II. The festivities involve spontaneous flag waving, the overflowing of sacramental wine from temples, the sound of salvoes of artillery, and blue-clad mailmen. Amidst all this disorder, the chorus repeatedly declares that "order prevails in Warsaw, order prevails in Gdańsk, order prevails in Silesia, the whole Poland is so calm".
The lyrics of the song can be interpreted in various ways. One possible interpretation is that the chaos and disorder in the first stanza are symbolic of the oppression and violence that the Jewish community in Warsaw faced during the Nazi occupation, and the sense of hopelessness and helplessness that pervaded their lives. However, the repeated assertion of order in the chorus can be seen as a defiant statement of resistance and resilience, implying that even in the darkest of times, there are pockets of stability and hope that can be found.
Another interpretation of the song is that it reflects the broader historical context of Poland during the Soviet era, where the official state propaganda emphasized the importance of maintaining social order and stability, often at the cost of individual freedoms and rights. In this sense, the song can be seen as a critique of the oppressive and authoritarian nature of the Polish government, and a call for greater freedom and democracy.
