They then landed opening slots on shows for Broken Social Scene, DFA 1979, and Hot Hot Heat, and received the honor of Best Unsigned Band at the 2002 North by Northeast music conference (Canada's version of SXSW in the U.S.). Soon after, Pilate inked a deal with indie MapleMusic Recordings, which then released their full-length debut, Caught by the Window, in 2003. The album produced two hits on national radio and MuchMusic, as the guys toured North America, Australia, and Japan. Their follow-up, Sell Control for Life's Speed, appeared back at home in mid-2006, after which the band changed its name to Pilot Speed. The quartet had signed with Wind-Up earlier that same year following the completion of its third album overall (and first as Pilot Speed), Into the West; the label released the record that September.

Was underneath your heel tonight, this truth has brought us to our knees,
Waiting here out in the street a prisoner under these lights,
Was holding fast not holding tight, will time reward us some reprieve.
And it's a lie we both believed (fall down)
Now you're lying there with me (fall down)
Reading through the news today, I'm picturing your fading smile,
I'm picturing your frozen eyes, those dreaded words slip from your lips,
Could we please just start again, without this sense of pending dread,
These thunderclouds lie overhead, without this cage around my bed, love
It's a lie we both believed (fall down)
Now you're lying there with me (fall down)
(Fall down) Just lay your head down…
It's a lie we both believed (fall down)
Now you're lying here with me (fall down)
Can we try to make it clean (fall down)
It's a secret that's unspoken, t'was the cause of all your tears,
We'd rip the night wide open, t'was the morning that we feared,
There's glass upon this playground, there's cocaine in your church,
Is there water in this desert, is there water in this desert?
Fall Down…
The lyrics to Pilate's song "Fall Down" convey a sense of desperate hopelessness and regret. The singer seems to be in a state of emotional turmoil, torn between feeling powerless and wanting to start anew. The opening verse paints a vivid picture of someone who is at the mercy of a higher power, standing in the wind and rain and feeling crushed underfoot. The use of the metaphorical image of being "underneath your wheel/heel" emphasizes the feeling of being overwhelmed and crushed by something much larger than oneself. The singer then goes on to describe a sense of imprisonment, both literal and metaphorical, waiting in the street under harsh lights and feeling trapped in a cage around their bed.
The chorus, "It's a lie we both believed, now you're lying there with me, just lay your head down," suggests a sense of resignation and surrender to circumstances that are beyond the singer's control. The repetition of the phrase "fall down" throughout the song adds to this sense of being brought low and humbled by events. The second verse shifts from describing the physical environment to a more introspective focus, as the singer reflects on a fading smile and frozen eyes. The sense of impending doom is further heightened by the mention of "dreaded words slip[ping] from your lips." Despite this, there is still a small glimmer of hope as the singer pleas for a chance to start again without the sense of pending doom. The final verse adds more layer to the complexities of the song, as it touches on the themes of secrets, addiction, and a search for meaning in a desolate environment. Overall, the song conveys a raw and emotional message of struggle and longing for redemption.

Find this really hard (maybe because I need a mirrior to see what sort of shape I am making) but I can't quite keep the shape as I go back and come back up without kind of hunching my shoulders and also I feel like some how I feel it in my inner thigh then anywhere else -_-

Can’t figure out the counting system for this exercise. I guess I’ll just keep doing it the way I’m used to—one count for each inhale or exhale. I can’t synchronize it with hand pumps anyway, it’s too hard.
