Beam Me Up
Pink (P!nk) Lyrics

In a parallel universe
Where nothing breaks and nothing hurts
There's a waltz playing frozen in time
Blades of grass on tiny bare feet
I look at you and you're looking at me
Could you beam me up,
Probably just stare, happy just to be there holding your face
Beam me up,
Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter,I think,
A minute's enough,
Just beam me up.
Some black birds soaring in the sky,
Barely a breath like our one last sight
Tell me that was you, saying goodbye,
There are times I feel the shivering cold,
It only happens when I'm on my own,
That's how you tell me, I'm not alone
Could you beam me up,
Give me a minute, I don't know what I'd say in it
I'd Probably just stare, happy just to be there, holding your face
Beam me up,
Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter,I think,
A minute's enough,
Just beam me up.
In my head, I see your baby blues
I hear your voice and I, I break in two and now there's
One of me, with you
So when I need you can I send you a sign
I'll burn a candle and turn off the lights
I'll pick a star and watch you shine
Just beam me up,
Give me a minute, I don't know what I'd say in it
Probably just stare, happy just to be there, holding your face
Beam me up,
Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter,I think,
A minute's enough,
Beam me up
Beam me up
Beam me up
Could you beam me up
The song "Beam Me Up" by Pink is a poignant and emotional ballad that speaks to the universal longing for a connection with loved ones who have passed on. The lyrics describe a parallel universe where nothing breaks and nothing hurts, and where the singer is longing to be reunited with someone who has left her behind. The song is a plea for that person to "beam her up" - a reference to the idea of being transported to another place or time - so that she can be with them once again.
Throughout the song, Pink describes the sense of loneliness and isolation that she feels in the absence of her loved one. She talks about feeling cold and shivery when she is on her own, and about how she longs to see the other person's "baby blues" and hear their voice once again. The image of "black birds soaring in the sky" is a haunting one, as it suggests the idea of death and finality, and the sense that the singer is struggling to come to terms with the fact that she will never see her loved one again.
Despite the sadness that pervades the song, there is also a sense of hope and comfort in the idea that the singer can send a sign to her loved one in the form of a burning candle or a shining star. By doing so, she can feel as though she is still connected to the other person in some small way, and can find solace and comfort in knowing that they are shining down upon her from above.
Overall, "Beam Me Up" is a beautiful and poignant song that speaks to the universal human experience of loss and longing. It is a testament to the power of music to express emotions and connect people across time and space, and is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever wished for a second chance to be with someone they have lost.

I lost my mother 3 weeks ago to suicide, she always loved Pink’s music. She related to lyrics on another level; now I’m feeling this one deeply. So beautiful.

I know this is 3 years late but I’m sorry. Beautiful song indeed

Do something in her memory, she felt a lot of pain that was deeper than anyone could understand, and maybe we weren't meant to. She is still a light, even with the darkness that surrounded her...that light can shine it's brightest now! Bless You..
