EVERGLOW
Pinstripe Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
She said back at me
And I really wanted more
It's not how I'm gonna be
This time I'll be conceding
Ive heard this all before
This time I'll be defeated
When it feels so good inside
Just take hold of my hand
Holding you tight
Your eyes come face to face with mine
We're both ever glowing
And I'm not like that at all
It's not how I wanna be
Made mistakes like this before
It's a new day in front of me
This time I'll be conceding
I've heard this all before
This time I'll be defeating
Tell me why you hide
When it feels so good inside
Just take hold of my hand
Holding you tight
Your eyes come face to face with mine
We're both ever glowing
And I've heard this all before
She's heard this all before
This girls been hurt before
We've both been hurt before yeahhhh
Whoh ohhhh oh oh ohh
Whoh oh ohhhh oh
Tell me why you hide
When it feels so good inside
Take hold of my hand
Holding you tight
Your eyes come face to face with mine
We're both ever glowing
We're both ever glowing
We're both ever
Both everglowing
The song "Everglow" by Pinstripe talks about two individuals who have been hurt in the past, but are trying to start a new relationship. They have heard similar promises before, but this time they want to be different. The lyrics suggest that they have decided to "concede" and "defeat" their apprehensions, and hold on to each other while basking in the warmth of their relationship. They both have reservations about opening up to each other, but when they look into each other's eyes, they see the potential for love and connection. The chorus repeats the phrase "ever glowing" to indicate that their love will shine as brightly as a lighthouse through the darkness of their fears. As they take each other's hand, they are determined to be each other's constant source of light and strength.
One interpretation of this song is that it talks about the idea of vulnerability and trust in a new relationship. The two individuals in the song are trying to leave their past traumas behind and embrace each other. They want to take a chance and believe that this time it is going to be different. The song encourages the idea of taking small steps towards building trust and intimacy in a relationship. It also embodies the hope of a new beginning and that despite the past, love can still exist.
