Glory
Pitch Slapped Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Welcome to this life
Every day and night
I can feel the lights
Hands up
Glory
I will stand and fight
Gotta do what's right
I can feel the lights
Hands up
Glory
I gotta talk about today
Of dark and evil ways
Of a man who's in this play
Let's pray (let's pray)
He believes his game's the same
Power, money, greed and fame
Lead the innocence to the grave
Let's pray (let's pray)
Hate that I can feel him on me
His dirty energy
His heavy sound, so cold and loud
Makin' noise not history
I know it ain't right, hate it
But I know I'm not alone
You say that you a leader
But I won't ever believe you
You will say yes, we say no
Welcome to this life
Every day and night
I can feel the lights
Hands up
Glory
I will stand and fight
Gotta do what's right
I can feel the lights
Hands up
Glory
I never dream it up this way
Baby it's hope jumped into play
You can make it better, it has to change
Let's pray (let's pray)
It's real life we can't escape
So we gotta face it not run away
Yes it will never ever kill my faith
Let's pray (let's pray)
Hate that I can feel him on me
His dirty energy
His heavy sound, so cold and loud
Makin' noise not history
I know it ain't right, hate it
But I know I'm not alone
You say that you a leader
But I won't ever believe you
If you say yes, you say no
Welcome to this life (welcome to this life)
Every day and night (every day)
I can feel the lights
Hands up
Glory (glory)
I will stand and fight (I will stand and fight)
Gotta do what's right (gotta do what's right)
I can feel the lights

Hands up
Glory

Overall Meaning

The song "Glory" by Pitch Slapped is a powerful anthem about standing up for what is right and fighting against the darkness in the world. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace their own inner strength and to join together to make a positive difference in the world. The use of the phrase "hands up" throughout the song serves not only as a call to action, but also as a symbol of solidarity and of being in this struggle together.

The opening lines of the song set the tone for the entire piece, with the singer proclaiming their willingness to face the challenges ahead and to "feel the lights" that guide them. Later in the song, the lyrics take on a more specific focus, with a reference to a "man who's in this play" who represents the very worst of human nature: power, money, greed, and fame. The singer acknowledges that they can feel this energy pressing in on them, but through their determination and faith, they will not give in to it.

The repeated refrain of "Glory" emphasizes the sense of triumph and victory that comes from standing up for oneself and fighting for what is right. The call and response elements of the song also give it a powerful sense of unity, as multiple voices come together to form a powerful chorus of those who refuse to be beaten down by the darkness. As a whole, "Glory" is an inspirational and empowering song that encourages listeners to find their own inner strength and to fight against the evils of the world.

Unison runs are not easy to achieve omg this is amazing ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜

Post production computer driven tuning and quantizing. It is very common. Multi tracking means mistakes can be deleted.
sorry but you need to congratulate the audio techs.

@@SaikoNeme This performance is a put on.

@@medicalinterest9091 ope didnt realize you were at the show ๐Ÿ˜’

@medicalinterest9091

@@savysteve123 I have done productions like this. Getting balances right, cleaning up the recording and removing seriously out of tune voices is standard procedure. The actual experience of the choir live on stage would have been wonderful. The audio tech can make or break a performance. A lot of them are sound engineers (tech heads) with
limited appreciation music but good at wiring and getting rid of fold back problems.

@Snorac11

NOTHING BETTER THAN THOSE group RIFFS

@melissaprentice1780

All four ladies in PERFECT unison on that middle riff is just an eargasm. What a beautiful arrangement! Xo
