The Dark
PitterSplatter Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Rubia Sol Morena Luna.
Rubia Sol Morena Luna.

Overall Meaning

In "The Dark," PitterSplatter talks about being torn between two women. The first verse describes the two women: one of them takes Prozac like candy, washes it down with whiskey, and reads Balzac and Coelho. The other woman is a fan of Arjona and wants to be a model. She plays with her hair and doesn't believe in anything except for Prada. The chorus talks about how loving two people is the same as not loving anyone at all. PitterSplatter seems to be struggling with his feelings and is unsure of which one he wants.

The second verse goes on to describe more personal details about the women. One of them has a great body, and the other believes in fairies and elves. PitterSplatter is torn between the two, and he doesn't know which one he wants. He knows that he has been unfaithful to both of them, but he can't help how he feels. He has learned that loving two people is complicated, and it is not fulfilling. PitterSplatter seems to be in a difficult situation, and he does not know how to proceed.

Of course it doesn't work if we are three halves, when there are more than two people, there are always more than two truths. And until everything falls under its own weight, I continue to carry my karma, lying with kisses.
