Their first single, "Chase the Sun", reached number five on the UK Singles Chart in 2001.[1] The song has enjoyed a rise in popularity ever since Sky Sports began using it during its coverage of the Professional Darts Corporation's major tournaments. The crowds in the venues are encouraged to chant and sing along to the song during the commercial breaks of matches, and the song has a cult following amongst darts fans. The song is also known to be chanted by supporters at the games of Australian football clubs Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United, as well as being the second half opening theme for the English Football League Championship team, Sheffield Wednesday. English Championship Football team, Watford F.C. also use the song for a goal song after they score a goal.[2] English Super League team Wigan Warriors are known to use the song following a successful drop-kick. The Melbourne spring racing carnival used the song during promotional TV advertisements during the mid to late 2000s.
Their second single, "Inside All the People", reached no. 9 in the Italian singles charts, but did better on the European dance charts. Their third single was "Who Said (Stuck In The UK)" which also gained significant commercial success. Their 2007 single release, "Static", appeared on FIFA 08.
They are also remixers, with their highest-profile work to date being New Order's "Waiting for the Sirens' Call".
In May 2006 they became the first musical group to release a single exclusively as a mobile phone download, with the release of "Stop Me" on the mobile network 3.[3]

Their forthcoming album "The Great Shake", featuring the new lead singer Alex Uhlmann, is set to release during the summer of 2011. The first single, "Another Sunrise" will be released in Italy in May 2011.
Dusk
Planet Funk Lyrics

I feel the air clasping me tight
A moon of fire singes my skin
With rust red rim burns the eye
The cold of day filling my lungs
In this airless time numbing me blind
A moon of ice cuts into me
A murmuring blue soft to the touch
Suffocating me like tattered wings
Gossamer damp rests on my flesh
Like moist hands saying still be still
I'm empty inside
The dusk unwinds
Ice fills my lungs
I feel unknown unknown
A shimmering blue
It's rough to the touch
And it smothers me with tattered wings
And now I'm empty inside
The dusk will unwind
Ice fills my lungs
I feel unknown
And now I'm empty inside
The dusk will unwind
Ice fills my lungs
I feel unknown unknown
I'm invisible I'm inaudible I'm replaceable I'm unknown I'm unknown
And I'm empty inside
The dusk unwinds
I feel I feel unknown

The lyrics of Planet Funk's "Dusk" evoke a sense of the ever-changing ephemerality of life. The warm sensation of the day fades from the skin, and the air becomes colder, harsher, and suffocating. The moon, instead of providing a gentle glow, becomes a symbol of heat that singes the skin with its rust red rim, or a symbol of cold that cuts into the flesh with its fire light.
The singer becomes increasingly aware of their own emptiness, as they repeat the phrase "I'm empty inside" throughout the song. The only constant seems to be the approaching dark of dusk, which unwinds slowly and fills the lungs with ice, further emphasizing the sense of emptiness and unknown.
The imagery of tattered wings and moist hands also adds to the feeling of vulnerability and suffocation. The singer is invisible, inaudible, replaceable, and ultimately unknown, as the dusk unfolds and their sense of self dissipates.
Overall, "Dusk" is a haunting and introspective song that speaks to the fleeting nature of life, the inevitability of change, and the unknowable depths of the self.
