Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Plastic Tree's song Harusaki Sentimental are beautifully complex, capturing the essence of a bittersweet moment in time. The song opens with a form of greeting, asking the listener how they are doing and letting them know that the writer has written a letter for the first time. The writer expresses that they are feeling better but have become a little more accustomed to being alone after some time has passed. On the way home, they remember the beautiful scene of the sakura trees in full bloom in the park at night and begin to think about the person they love.

The next verse takes on a more introspective feel, with the writer acknowledging the beautiful sakura blossoms floating in the dark sky as a metaphor for the world's passion rising and distorting the perspective of the writer's surroundings. They then muse that if love is to blame, we too will breathe together just like the patterns of the cicadas. They anticipate the last sakura blossom to bloom soon.

The chorus brings with it a progression of time with the arrival of spring. Asking if they can be heard and if they can remain who they are. They then declare that in their hands are flower petals as if they have touched the one they love. The song continues with a refrain of the sakura blossoming against a vivid hue and the love that has spilled out of the heart of the singer. The final lines tell of the singer standing alone and the sakura petals showering all around them, their faces blurring with the tears that have fallen.

@Encze

Wow. I don't think I have ever found a band in my life that understands me as much as this.

@xNancybugx

Ryutaro's eyes are beautiful. I can't stop staring....and the lyrics are just....perfect. I can't even describe how much I love this band...

@ankoo0319

@maedsonferreira9762

@ankoo0319

@maedsonferreira9762

(Fora essas letras incríveis e a sonoridade).

@ankoo0319

@Steflove1

@tetsu85

He's actually singing a love letter that was written for his lover.. damn the lyric is just so good!
