Abriste bien tus alas y te fuiste por la ventana
A otro lugar
Y de pronto como si nada
Abriste bien tus alas y te fuiste por la ventana
A otro lugar
Y terminaste comiendo
Alpiste, Perdiste
No supiste aprovechar lo que tenías
Y ahora no existe
No volvés más
Te fuiste, volviste
A mi pobre corazón no le dio gracia
Tantas vueltas que diste
Y puedes volar
Y de pronto como si nada
Abriste bien tus alas y te fuiste por la ventana
A otro lugar
Y te cagaste en los de abajo
Y terminaste comiendo
Alpiste, perdiste
No supiste aprovechar lo que tenías
Y ahora no existe
No volvés más
Te fuiste, volviste
A mi pobre corazón no le dio gracia
Tantas vueltas que diste
Puedes volar
Y esto no es un final
Es un nuevo despertar.
The song "Paloma" by Playmobil tells a story of a bird (symbolically, a lover or a person) who takes flight out of a window to be free and explore new worlds. The singer warns the bird to think carefully before leaving, but the bird doesn't listen and flies away. Fueled by the urge to be independent and free, the bird ignores the comfort of the familiar and flies to uncharted territories. However, the bird soon realizes that it's not easy to leave everything behind and encounter new challenges, represented in the song by windows that won't break and closed doors. The bird can't find a way back, and as a result, feels regret and is forced to survive on its own.
The lyrics of Paloma are beautifully crafted, and the melodies and guitar riffs harmonize into a song that will urge an emotional response from every listener. The chorus of the song emphasizes the idea that freedom comes with a price, and sometimes, it is best to appreciate the things one has than chase the things they don't. Dancing to the beat of the song is easy and captures the feeling of flying like a bird, representing the joys of breaking free from constraints and being independent. The song's emotive lyrics and lively melody have earned it many fans globally, and the song remains among Playmobil's greatest hits.
