My first playthrough of this . I did Rock Tunnel without flash. I think I made with 1 pokémon alive on low life, all out of potions. Takes me to hearing the music at the Lavender Town Pokémon Center, and saying in my find to the Pokémon nurse "help me, help me, help me".

This game had so many mysteries (well many were glitches but as kid those are mysteries, too): Missing No., the invisible PC, glitch city, the truck at the S.S. Anne, Mew, cloning Pokémon, getting behind Bill's house, the hotel that won't let Pokémon in etc. etc. This music just brings back so many memories :)

Woo third-grade memories. My friend Greg had the blue version. Me and a bunch of the other dudes would huddle around during lunch to watch him play and follow his adventures with Squirtle which eventually became a Lv. 100 Blastoise because he had used the infamous rare candy bug which made it totally infinte. When I got the Yellow Version the following year in 1999 he tried to show me the glitch but unfortunately it was fixed then...

I was just playing Pokemon Shield, walked inside of a pokemon center, heard this music (but upscaled and slightly different obviously) and realized something. This is the motif that’s in all of the Project Voltage songs! Like the one melody that is in all of them. If you don’t know, Gamefreak/The Pokemon Company partnered with a lot of vocaloid producers to make different songs featuring Pokemon in some form. My favorite was “The Pokemon Inside My Heart” by pinocchio-p. That song almost made me cry, I loved it and it was so nostalgic and slightly sad. But now I’m gonna be emotional whenever I walk inside of any pokecenter 🥲 also if you haven’t listened to the Project Voltage songs, omg they’re so good please listen to them. Sorry infodump over

Now THIS is the pokemon centre theme. I'm amazed that, despite so many advances in technology and music enhancement, they just can't seem to recreate the magic that comes from this glorious 8 bit music. Imo, every rendition of this theme since Blue and Red has never matched it's excellence.

I work weekend at a hospital at this very minute. I play this and pretend that I'm nurse joy. I'm a 32 year old dude with a beard but one can always pretend, right? I'm also the strongest at my local gym, so back there I'm playing gym leader music.

So nostalgic... One thing that pissed me off was when my last pokemon was poisoned and then just when I reached the counter "Your pokemon fainted! Ash blacked out!" And I had to start at the other town's Pokemon center again :/ What kind of Pokemon center looks at your fainted pokemon in front of the counter and says "lul we are gonna bring him back to where he saved last time"
