Dilema
Polemic Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Prvý, prvý vzpriamený
človek chodiaci po Zemi
náš prapredok na x-tú
túlaval sa savanou.

Druhý, druhý chodil s ním
pod veľkým slnkom horúcim
plodili spústy detí,
spávali pod oblohou.

Ref:
Ja hľadám korene predkov
pozerám v matrikách na listy bez slov.
Ako mám vysvetliť deťom,
že majú anténky to nie je fejtón!

Tretí, tretí už na tretí deň
natrafil som na povodeň
zaliala polia na nich
ženy našich pradedov.

Štvrtý, štvrtý na štvrtý pokus
podarilo sa nezvestné
ženy objaviť o kus
ďalej dáke zmámené.

Overall Meaning

The song "Dilema" by Polemic essentially talks about the evolution of mankind and how we have come a long way from our primitive roots. The first verse describes the first upright human walking on Earth, our ancestor who wandered through the savannah. The second verse talks about the second human who walked alongside him, and together they procreated and slept under the open sky. The chorus of the song talks about the dilemma of explaining our evolution to our children, who may not understand that the "antennas" they have are not a figment of their imagination but a product of evolution.

The third verse talks about the third human who encountered a flood on the third day of his journey, which wiped out the fields where our ancestors' women worked. Finally, the fourth verse talks about the fourth human who, after several attempts, managed to discover some missing women who were lost, wandering and confused.

The song highlights the evolution of mankind and how it has been a continuous, complex process over centuries. The chorus emphasizes the difficulty of explaining evolution to our children, who may not always be able to grasp concepts that are beyond their immediate understanding.
