The Rain
Polopop Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When life is grand, time moves so fast
Like clouds before a storm
The chilling breeze, I wish it would last
So cool but you make me feel so warm

The first drops begin to fall
Under clouds we hold tight
And like the rain, I begin to fall
When I'm with you all feels so right

Such a simple night yet it all feels so new
Just sitting in the park with you
And though it seems like there's nothing to do
I'm satisfied just being bored with you

We drink spiced rum under the moon
Hold you in my arms all night long
Within this forest God transcends from above
As we dance to an imaginary song

And though it seems like there's nothing to do
I'm satisfied just being bored with you

Although you seem much too good to be true
I think I'm falling in love with you

WOW. I wrote "The Rain" with Abstract Reality around 1999 or so if I remember right. I heard Kaye's amazing version but what you did with it reigns as the best version of that song that will probably ever exist. If I could upvote you a million times I would. Thanks to Gert/Zerozillion for linking this to me!! Amazing
