1) POMPEYA is an up-and-coming indie rock band from Moscow, Russia. It is a project created by members of Moscow-based bands Silence Kit and Мои Любимые Игры. The debut single check was recorded in the beginning of 2007 and quickly became popular. Then the second single traveller was released. POMPEYA released their full-length album Tropical in 2011.
Moscow sure sounds a lot like Brooklyn in Pompeya's beat-driven indie rock. Stiff-backed rhythms culled from the dance-pop pool, expansive New Wave vocals, and gleaming guitars point to a hipster truism: '80s music is great now that we can pick and choose.

But I also love the way this video has been filmed.
Throughout the video (except for the end), you never really get a good look at the girl's face because it's obscured by shadow and the moving camera. When she's dancing, it's only on two instances that you see her really well - once when she lures the main character to the floor, and the next, just before the gunmen come blasting in through the door. This second one is interesting, because that's when we get an over-the-shoulder shot from the main character's POV, because it's when he likely sees her for who she is - a liar.
Furthermore, when she gets the main character on stage, both of them are bathed in faded red light. This is really telling, because symbolically she's pulling him in with love/lust, but physically identifying him as the target. That faded red light immediately cuts to a deep red on the face of the assassins - the killing has started.
