1) Pond is an Australian psychedelic rock band from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2008. Initially featuring a revolving line-up, since 2016 the band has comprised
Jay Watson (also of Tame Impala), Nick Allbrook (ex-Tame Impala), Shiny Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland.
The original idea of Pond was to be able to get anyone they wanted to play whatever they wanted in a collaborative musical project. Their first album was released soon after in January 2009, titled Psychedelic Mango, which contained many psychedelic rock and pop elements. Their second album, Corridors of Blissterday, was completed live with an eight piece band in five days, and released in June 2009. This led to the creation of their 2010 album, Frond, released in May 2010, featuring a heavier pop influence than previously heard from them.
After the breakthrough success of Innerspeaker, the debut album by Tame Impala, a band which shares three members with Pond, the album Beard, Wives, Denim was recorded in 2010 and later released to critical acclaim in March 2012.

Waiting Around For Grace
Pond Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You’ll miss the golden moment when everything aligned
Did it go on underground without a soul around?
Don’t that make you wonder how God found the time?
We’re always waiting around for grace
To put a smile upon her race
Well, I'm sure she’s got a pretty face than in the world
Well, it’s a real big place, your hands on mine
You know it happens honey all the time
Well, my hands going wild, well it wouldn't be wrong even if I tried
Tired of these goodbyes, tired of (?)
Tired of being tired of the process of being tired, of you being tired of me
I'm tired, tired, tired (tired, tired, tired), tired
We’re always waiting around for grace
To put a smile upon her race
Well, I'm sure she’s got a pretty face in the world
Well, it’s a real big place, your hands on mine, you know
We’re always waiting around for grace
To put a smile upon her race
Well, I'm sure she’s got a pretty face in the world
In the world, in the world, in the world
We’re always waiting around for grace, oh
The lyrics of "Waiting Around For Grace" by Pond artfully describe the human tendency to wait for something better, whether it's a person, a moment or a feeling. The singer first addresses someone they are attracted to, admitting that they too desire something more. The lines "You’ll miss the golden moment when everything aligned / Did it go on underground without a soul around?" suggest that there are moments of perfection that might pass us by unnoticed, unknown to the rest of the world.
The second verse speaks more generally, referring to the enormity of the world and the seemingly endless search for something more. The lines "Tired of these goodbyes, tired of (?) / Tired of being tired of the process of being tired, of you being tired of me / I'm tired, tired, tired" convey a sense of exhaustion and frustration with the search. Despite this, the chorus remains hopeful, suggesting that grace might bring happiness and beauty to the world, and that it's worth waiting for.
The overall message of the song seems to be that we should appreciate the moments of beauty and joy that come our way, even if they're fleeting or unnoticed by others. At the same time, we should remain hopeful and open to the possibility of something better, even if it means waiting around for grace.
