I've been composing since I picked up a 4-track sequencer for my Commodore 64 back in the day lol. I've tried out probably a dozen DAWs including Cubase and Logic, the two most common ones you see, and I keep coming back to my (legal!) copy of FLStudio. I love the workflow. I compose for video games, pop music, and orchestral stuff. It does everything very well and the sequencer is top notch.
