Our lady never promised a “heavenly” age of peace. She said “...if what I have asked is done a period of peace would be granted...”, and later she said “...in the end my immaculate heart will triumph, the holy father will consecrate Russia to my immaculate heart and a CERTAIN period of peace will be granted”.

She added certain because the consecration would not be done in time nor the way she asked. Since 1952’s explicit consecration of Russia by Pope Pius XII albeit without all the bishops of the world, we have seen a relatively peaceful world. Not so in some pockets but globally the church flourished in the 50s, wars were localised only and we have also seen Russia’s conversion while not into catholicity, but certainly out of communism.

So there is some merit in consideration being given to the 1952 act as mentioned.

Meanwhile JP2 decided that Fatima was all about him, he made himself the centre of the message and we got the frivolous rant under his rule in the year 2000 which was masqueraded as the third secret.

God have mercy on us fooled and deceived by our own shepherds!

I am an older follower here.Growing up I can remember running into the kitchen for a snack and the rosary on the radio...sometimes we ( my friends) would kneel and pray. I remember my gr mother always having her rosary in her hand when she came to say good night when I was little. My grandfather always said a rosary before mass. My mom said the rosary when we traveled in the car and on her daily walks. I am grateful for their example. As kids, we would act out the Fatima miracle and other Saints along with hide and seek :) Not sharing the 3rd secret... tells you all... pray the rosary!

You may be interested that Dr Robert Sungenis has released a new book on Fatima which I would say controversially claims the 1952 consecration was done & a period of peace followed. Not my first thought, nor yours obviously however he's a bright bloke and claims a respected Fatamist(unamed) read it & changed his mind. Probably worth a look if only to rule out....

Agreed; eyes to see, ears to hear and what we see and hear is obvious to those watching. It seems to me ignoring the Queen of Heaven and earth reaches far beyond expressions of concern for man's curiousities. If it helps anyone, I struggled praying even one decade of the Rosary, and now do all 3 mysteries daily without fail. Wearing the brown scapular will help give you the ability & Grace to pray it. What has also helped me is I must say it aloud, and I also must walk when praying. Please just try if you can. It gets easier, I promise! If you can, pick out a rosary you really like, too, and get it blessed.

@lisaturtle13 You must be enrolled in the brown scapular by a priest. This used to be done at the time of your 1st Holy Communion but the practice stopped after V2....another casualty. In most Traditional Chapels it is still done,, if you are unsure if you are enrolled talk to a good priest. Once enrolled and blessed you do not need to bless new scapulars, the blessing carries over! Blessed Be God and His most Holy Mother for the riches of our Catholic Faith!! It seems to me that it was Malachi Martin who said Pope St. John Paul II wanted to do the consecration but was told it was too dangerous because Russia (the Soviet Union then) would likely launch an attack. Regardless of why, that seems to verify that the consecration was never done. I just stick to the belief that God is in control, and any mistakes and/or purposeful rebellion of man against God, will be used to His glory and honor in the end just as the Crucifixion was not defeat but rather the greatest victory of all time. The Rosary is our greatest weapon against evil and we honor our Lady and her Son every time it is said. There's no secret about that!

Anthony, if you also take what he said in 1976 in the US, yes, I believe does hint at the 3rd Secret. Pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy chaplet. IMO, not an either/or but both. Make the time to do so every day.

I believe those blessed enough to have felt the true Graces of the Divine Mercy know that the window of Mercy is closing soon. I left the Church for 35 years when the poorly implemented Vatican II was ushered in and they WERE more concerned with guitar music, Cantors, and Charismatics than a solid Catholic formation. I always stayed close to the Blessed Mother, as She was the one constant I had - She was like Latin to the Church during that time. A dead language. Anyway. 2 years ago, through a strange tangle of events, She brought me to the Divine Mercy, which I had never heard of. It was Our Blessed Mother who brought me to Her Son's Divine Mercy, so even though I am a TLMer. I know that the Divine Mercy is a Heavenly Grace. The Rosary and the Chaplet must be prayed daily.

I don't think that Pops John Paul fully revealed the 3rd secret of Fatima, but as you said, we're reminded on a daily basis, at least from other YouTube channels and readings to pray the Rosary daily. It certainly isn’t being a Debbie Downer during Holy Week to offer up our whole selves to Christ daily. In fact, it makes life bearable as we try to know Jesus on a more personal note. It makes aligning our own sufferings along side Jesus’s to be a means to offer up all of our trials, tribulations, joys and sorrows to take a very small iota of Christ’s pain away.
Uniting ourselves with Christ, especially during Holy Week, gives us a hope such as we’ve never experienced before.

Pope JP II said it is virtually the same as Apocalypses 12: 3-4 and, I believe, encoded the third secret verbal contents into his Homily at Fatima, in 2000, just before the "releasing" the third secret.

If he did hint at it, it was only very slightly taking into consideration the message of Akita. But what of the messages of Quito and LaSalette, the first having been forgotten for decades? Perhaps the ecstasy of Leo XIII was also a prewarning of a coming event? The fact of the matter is that the Church has always been confronted by the threat of being demolished and that the offices of the hierarchy are the frontline against those efforts. What we've seen since Vatican II is a laziness in carrying out those offices effectively to protect against the evil growing about us. Every office should have been screaming to be obedient to each of these with an urgency to the request at Fatima. Our Blessed Mother has been having a conversation with us when putting together all the apparitions. Do we listen? Poorly, at best. At times, we even fight amongst ourselves rather than with one voice, repeatedly, no longer requesting ourselves but demanding that the Consecration of Russia be done now. Later is insufficient. Now! We should all come together and be constantly reminding our bishops to fulfill Our Lady's requests. No other human effort will do. Every Catholic journalist should be united in delivering to the laity that single most important message as a constant plea.
Man has his "great reset" but God has His as well and His is more powerful, more fearful and destructive. Unite the clans! Fight like your souls depended upon it, which it does to a degree!

The Consecration as it needs to be done, has not been fulfilled. How can this act be performed when the Churches fabric is rent, with much of the clergy and the faithful at odds and many are living in a state of apostasy. The prophecies of Quito, LaSalle, and Akita, concerning contention and discord among the clergy has only grown more acute and severe since the 2nd Vatican Council. Look at our current Pontiff, and his daily miscarriages. Can one honestly believe he's even Catholic?!!! The Church is in such a state of disarray and a discordancy, that unity can only be achieved by events on a cataclysmic scope and scale. We've been warned for a very long time.

@Luis Santiago Our Blessed Mother said that the consecration will be done but adds that, "it will come too late". We don't see how this is possible given the current state within the Church. God's ways are above ours and who's to say that the ruins of the city the pope passes through is not littered with the bodies of bishops? That may be just the incentive to the remaining bishops to quickly install a new pope that will carry out the orders with the bishops. There is further reason to believe this may pass given the prophecies of the Holy Pope and Great Catholic Monarch. First, however, we will have to endure much suffering and a worldwide conquest of the communists as further relayed by Sr Lucia. One can see this clearly happening to America. Nonetheless, God has His "Great Reset" as well and the globalists are far outmatched.

If what was revealed by our Lady through the three little children wasn’t enough to encourage us to change, and to change the church, I’m not convinced the third secret would have made any difference, either. Personally, I think the late Pope was right. Many wanted to know out of curiosity rather than a desire to do anything differently, or avert the onslaught with which we are now faced - not because we don’t care, but because if we are really honest with ourselves, we will admit that we always thought it wouldn’t really happen in our time, or that it would happen somewhere far removed from our Western world.

It is interesting that wasn't it JP11 that was responsible for making the Divine Mercy popular becauce of it coming from a nun in Poland
But just think of the damage with each time people say the chaplet a Rosary is not said
HAIL MARY IS BIBLICAL
THE words of the chaplet are just words like are said in non denominational churches

This is not based on fact or anything I have studied or been told, but I tend to think that the third secret of Fatima is the message that Our Blessed Mother gave to Melanie and Gerard high in the mountains of LaSalette. The message of LaSalette has been approved by the Church. Mother Mary is dressed beautifully as a Queen with Her head bent down into Her hands, weeping about how there are no longer any pure Priests to consecrate the Body and Precious Blood of Jesus at Mass. The two children went into Religious life, but were persecuted so badly that they left. Her message sounds just like what is happening to the Church today. Just a thought....

Hinting at it is not what Our Lady instructed the Pope to do. Maybe it’s revelation would have prevented some of the evil in our church from advancing, as it has to date. Reading, “A Church In Crisis” by Ralph Martin has been very sobering and has caused my husband and I heartache. If that heartache was felt after the revelation of what Our Lady wanted us to act upon, that book would not have had to be written. I am so grateful
(despite the grief reading it has caused) to Ralph Martin to have the courage to write it. It is a shame that courage does not exist now nor in 1960 by St. Pope John XXIII.

While they did Help with some food ( some which was not edible without becoming sick by it ) and utilities . ....in the long run NOW We have a sold HOUSE WITHOUT NOTIFICATIONS. For over three months since finding out and I will explain thoroughly if asked how We found out , We have been mentally emotionally incapacitated. Skeptical self wonders if they kept it secret because the prediction would seem to have been proven false and revealing it would destroy the credibility of Fatima. JP II 's consecration was not what Mary asked for. Moses was denied entrance to the Promised Land because he struck a rock instead of speaking to it to provide water, which was what the Lord had asked him to do.

The 3rd secret has been revealed by our Mother in the Apparition of our Lady of Akita, Bishops vs AA Bishops and Cardinals vs AA Cardinals and the great calamity. Why would our Lady wants the consecration of Russia together with all the Bishops? It was clearly for us to know who are the AA(anti apostles) Bishops and Cardinals. They are always holding off the consecration because it is against their allegence to communist Russia. Right now we know that the 3rd secret has already occured AA bishops, AA cardinals and sadly the AA pope, and the next thing that will happen is the great calamity all revealed in Akita. There is no other 3rd secret revealed but the Akita, don't be deceived by the other so called 3rd secret, something dark keeps telling us that Akita is not the 3rd secret. Making us Catholics complacent of what will happen next. Making us off guard and forget our Holy Rosaries. Our Lady added the prayer at every end of the decade specially for those that needed the most. That prayer is for the intention for those AA bishops, AA cardinals and the AA pope. The children of Fatima keeps praying the Rosary and nothing else. We should follow them.

What seems to be missed in all the explanations described is each of those quoted all presume that Mary, in asking for the secret be revealed, didn't appreciate or understand the possible dangers, challenges, complications for the church and faithful. It makes a massively egotistical presumption that the earthly church leaders had some deeper knowledge of consequences that Mary didn't have. Really??? It's ironic that Saint John Paul has us find recourse in the Rosary but didn't trust that Mary knew exactly what she was asking, along with all it's implications, in her request to reveal the third secret. St. John Paul must have had a LOT to explain when he arrived at the pearly gates.

Interesting... The old testament prophets didn't hold anything back. They let loose and let God handle it. For popes to say that they didn't want to encourage the USSR is to say that they didn't believe that God could handle them. Just me thinking... and praying the Rosary everyday.

If he knew how serious that consecration if Russia was, why on earth would he initiate such an annual practice so offensi e to Our Lord. Pray the rosary - five decades a day - if only because our Mother, Mary asked this of us. Think of it like having to take awful tasting medicine or changing a diaper. Not necessarily something we want to do, but needs to be done, and we are really pleased once it is over! Slowly your heart will change; but, if not, just do it because it is good for your health - your spiritual health. Also, consider getting a rosary that you think is beautiful, and that you enjoy holding and using. I bought a rosary with round beads and found that I like them better than the faceted ones. I smile when I remove them from their pouch.
