Dame
Porpartes Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
invoquemos al presente
dame tu mano
veamos que nos pasa
la verdad es que hace tiempo
no veo el sol brillar
luces emociones pasan
un rocio en la ma
ñana
nada nos puede borrar
si tienes fe todo fluye
y el universo va
The lyrics of Porpartes's song "Dame" is all about an invitation to live in the moment. It is an invitation to hold hands and explore the vast possibilities that life has to offer. The first two lines of the song "Dame tu mano / invoquemos al presente" translates to "give me your hand / let's invoke the present" which signifies the need to live in the moment and not worry about the past or the future. The song brings the notion that sometimes life can be tough but we need to be open and explore what it has to offer.
The following lines discuss how the darkness has eclipsed the light and how life has become monotonous. However, despite all the challenges that life throws at us, we need to hold on and believe that everything will fall into place eventually. The last two lines "si tienes fe todo fluye / y el universo va" translates to "if you have faith, everything flows / and the universe goes" indicates that having faith and belief in oneself is an essential aspect of living.
