Powerman 5000 Lyrics

Red, the color the lines the road 225 the fearless explode
Who burns rubber from coast to coast supernova gets burned like toast

Gasoline blood fire veins honk Kong flu rides soul train
Concrete breakfast, star struck fame first place killer the man with no name,

Machine shop rodeo the scrap pile boss, you're the one who's gonna learn about loss
Eyes on the road souls in the gutter burn up the street just like the toe cutter

Don't be foolish don't go insane dead man's curve, ride the inside lane
Concrete breakfast, star struck fame first place killer

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Powerman 5000's song "Car Crash" depict a fast-paced and chaotic world, specifically in relation to driving and racing. The mention of the color red lining the road could represent the danger and excitement associated with street racing, while the number 225 may indicate a high speed limit or a measure of acceleration. The idea of fearless explosions conveys a sense of recklessness and disregard for safety that is common in these types of activities.

The lyrics also touch on the idea of burnout and the potential consequences that come with it. The reference to burning rubber and supernovas getting burned like toast implies that those who push themselves too far will inevitably suffer from the consequences of their actions. The use of the term "Gasoline blood fire veins" adds to the high-octane energy of the song, suggesting that the thrill of speed and adrenaline can become an addiction.

The chorus speaks to the inevitability of danger and loss when engaging in risky behavior. The mention of eye contact and souls in the gutter helps to further illustrate the sense of chaos and disorder on the streets. The line "ride the inside lane" can be interpreted as a metaphor for taking the safer path in life, as opposed to the reckless and potentially deadly alternative. Overall, the lyrics of "Car Crash" paint a vivid image of the dangers and thrills of street racing, while also cautioning against the consequences of engaging in such activities.

Can anyone really "burn corners" on a moped?
Btw, true "mopeds" have bicycle pedals.
I have big bikes, and little ones. I have an msx-125/Grom. Love it. Ride it a lot (daily summertime rider, kinda hard in the frozen great white north other times, pushed it though, sometimes). Been riding the little Honda more than other more powerful bikes regularly for a while now...
... Haven't "burned" any corners with it, ever. I don't think I could if I wanted to.
Maybe we're using different vocabulary.
To me, "To Burn," requires spinning tires, hard rubbing, or otherwise melting, eg "burning rubber."
Without serious power mods or very poor tires, I don't think I could ever "burn" tires on my little 8.5/10 hp (depending where you measure) machine.

I can't say again how much I love my Grom. Well, still need to stiffen the suspension, and every biker wants just a little more power. Lower gearing for trails would be nice.
But on the whole, I know it will never "burn corners" or "scream," and I'm alright with that. Buy a different bike if that's your scene. So, don't pretend you can with a machine that can't.

Edited for typos.
