Eeee

No es otra cosa fácil
La vida de los salvajes
Se quedan en los cerros
Y no dicen palabras

Overall Meaning

The song "Los Salvajes" by Prehistöricos is a beautifully poignant description of the lives of people who live on the outskirts of modern society. The lyrics describe how these people are forgotten by those living in urban areas, how they are left to live their own lives in seclusion, without much interaction with the outside world. They are "los salvajes" or "the savages" - the people who are left behind by progress and modernity.

The song speaks of a moment when the people who live in these isolated places witness the construction of something in the city - perhaps a building or a bridge. As the "cementos" are opened and the foundations are laid, the people on the outskirts of society find a sense of liberation - they are unchained from their isolation, even if only for a moment. The song hints at a longing for freedom, for the chance to escape from lives that are too often filled with hardship and isolation.

The lyrics also hint at the idea that the things that we often take for granted in modern society - the heat and light of the sun, the warmth of wind on our faces - are things that are missing from the lives of those living in isolation. The singer describes the feeling of the wind taking away their eyes - perhaps a metaphor for the struggle to connect with the modern world. Despite the difficulties, however, the people living in these places continue to dance and embrace life.
