Let Me Sleep
Present Paradox Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the middle of the mountain
There is a little treasure
Which we don't open
Because it's gonna take all our pleasure

In the middle of the sea
There is a little treasure
Which we don't open
Because it's gonna take all our pleasure

Let me sleep
Let me dream
And when I wake up
It will be alright

In the middle of the sea
There lays a little treasure
But I've been told not to open it
Because it's gonna take all our pleasure

In the middle of the mountain
There is a little treasure

Which we don't open
Because it's gonna take all our pleasure

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Present Paradox's song "Let me sleep" suggests that there are hidden treasures in both the sea and mountain, but they should not be opened as it could diminish our pleasure. The lyrics create an air of mystery around these hidden treasures and give the impression that the singer is desperately seeking peace, solace, and escape from the world.

The lyrics of the song convey the idea of wanting to escape reality, such as how we all want to escape from the stresses in our everyday lives. The "treasure" in the song could represent something that brings us happiness, but at the same time, can also be something that takes away all the joy from our lives if we get too obsessed with it. Therefore, sometimes it's important to leave things unexplored so that they still carry that mystery and anticipation.

The message in the song's lyrics is quite powerful as it reminds us that we need to find a balance in our lives between chasing our passions and pursuits, and taking the time to relax and recharge. Sometimes, we need to allow ourselves to just "sleep" and let our minds rest so that we can wake up and face the challenges of the world with renewed energy and determination.

I have a sleep disorder where I sleeptalk every night and sleepwalk also a lot. I dont have much stress at all but often do have stressfull dreams and end up clenching my teeth but not grinding . I honestly dont know what I can do about it. I had a sleep study done and they only found I skipped some sleep stages, but no sleep apnea. altho I slept VERY shitty during that study and had lots of wake ups.
The first ime I found out I clench my jaw in the night is when I woke up breaking one of my back molars :S
And now I wake up every time I do it because it hurts my back molars. Maybe thats good cause at least I wake up and stop doing it. Its usually in the early morning
