His love for music started when his dad gifted him an acoustic guitar, who passed away soon after. He later became self taught, which would be the foundation in developing his musical skills.

After making it to the top 100 in American Idol, his independent music career began. He released “Falling For You”, reaching over 400,000 streams. Later, he released the singles “Over”, “Closer”, and “B2U”, with a combined 1,000,000+ streams. His inspirations for music include Bazzi, Marc E Bassy, and Lauv.

Preston is currently writing an album set to release in 2020. The album will be an experience as a whole for each listener, and will consist of dreamy pop based vibes. The first single for the album, titled “Dreamer” was written based off of the overcoming of the experiences he faced with death, including his near death experience in 2019, and his fathers death in 2013. Dreamer was released on Jan 21st, his fathers birthday.
