The band was originally composed of the siblings Sole and Juan Luis Giménez, and their friend Pablo Gomez. In the same year 1983, they won a radio contest and their first recording, Danzad, Danzad Malditos, appeared one year later under the RCA label. But the record company forced them to write more commercial songs outside their style, and they left in 1986 to work with an independent label, Discos Intermitentes. Pablo Gomez left the group and Javier Vela arrived to replace him. Later, Nacho Maño replaced Vela.
In 2006 they decided to split ways after Sole Giménez announced her solo carreer. Later in 2008, they included a new voice -Lydia- and made a re-appearance with a new album of original songs called "Sera".
La felicidad
Presuntos Implicados Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
felicidade sim.
Tristeza ñao tem fim
falicidade sim.
Tristeza, no tiene fin.
Felicidad, sí. The lyrics of Presuntos Implicados’ La Felicidad explore the concept of happiness and sadness as two opposing forces. The song starts by declaring that sadness has no end, while happiness is depicted as a feather carried by the wind, fleeting and fragile. The song acknowledges that happiness is a crazy and delicate thing that can quickly dissipate and requires constant nurturing by those who possess it.
The second stanza compares happiness to a dewdrop on a flower petal, shining and serene, but eventually falling like a tear of love. Here, happiness is described as something that is dependent on external factors, like the presence of a loved one. The singer then implores those around them to speak in hushed tones so as not to wake the dreamer, whose happiness lies in the sweet eyes of their lover.
The final stanza reiterates the central theme of the song - that sadness is endless, but happiness is attainable albeit fleeting. The song ends with the same refrain as the beginning, emphasizing the dichotomy between the two emotions that make up the human experience.
Overall, La Felicidad is a beautiful poem set to music that explores the fragility of happiness and its importance in human life. It encourages us to cherish happy moments and to do all we can to keep them alive.
